  1. That seat of the GT is looking a bit out of place :) I have a few GT's, Dyno's, Haro's and a Skyway.

Ha for sure, Yeah it is not installed correctly, Put the guts in one night not paying attention.

Glad to see I am not the only one with a wide range of interests.

  2. I am currently looking for all Dec 73 issues to build the Birthday display. Will also do 7/84 as I vividly remember that visit to the comic shop (rare occurrence with none around) with Zartan on the cover of GI Joe and I got two copies (first time ever).

  3. My wife loves that my ADD collecting sneaks into our bedroom. There is really too much light to display much of value so I bought a comic stand to put some raws out. It was originally set up to house slabbed books but that lasted about 2 hours after looking at the incoming light.

Bro, you on bmxmuseum? Nice setup! :headbang:

No sir I lurk for parts but not a member. Thanks. No one pay attention to the seat on the Hawaiian.

  4. That's not the same book. Unless it has been reslabbed. But the corner looks different. (Edit: No, it's definitely not the same book. Staples are not in the same place.)

Yeah, it's not the same book.

I was going off of the earlier posts by PJK, MetalPSI and yourself.

My mistake for only looking at the grade on the label and taking the say of a few boardies with high post counts, instead of looking closer at the two scans. :tonofbricks:;)

I posted the correct book from CC.Here again http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=667274

  5. Holy smokes. Love the GTs, the Claus Grabke (reissue?), and the whole room. Oh, and cool comics too. :)

I'd have been in heaven circa '84.

Ha yes I may have peaked in 84 and got stuck. Claus is a reissue I did have several originals but when they skyrocketed I exited and bought the re issues.

Pretty sure I started a thread myself sometime back... what happens is; it will fade away into the nothingness that is known as the thread search tool... I also have a 9.8 run 5-24 or something mostly Dave Sim file copies... I posted pics in that non existent thread as well..

Odd I did search and that thread did not populate only the closed one, when I look at the threads you started it is there.

  8. I've mentioned it before, but I've got an ASM 238 signed by Romita, Romita Jr, Stern, and Stan Lee. Stan Lee signed on top of Stern.

It broke my heart. It made me feel even worse with the story about his eye sight. I can't even look at the book though.

    Ugh. That's bad.

Well, then there's always my personal "winner" from the man:

Of course I blame myself for handing a 50 year-old comicbook to a 90 year old man with a heavy-hand and sharp marker. :tonofbricks:

Is it rude if I spit Dr Pepper all over my monitor after reading this????

  9. I have the back cover scan for it, as Gator said 3 separate tears repaired on the back with tape.

Makes you wonder if the state of the back cover is the reason the book came back on the market so fast. Or maybe a year isn't that fast for a copy of AF 15 these days!

Who knows could be one of those deals where the owner felt he could live with it but kept waking up to "Tape,Tape, Tape.." in the middle of the night.
