  1. And I thought I was the only one who bought high and sold low. That's been my strategy for years ... I just usually let more than three weeks go by! Same here!
  2. I guess maybe I have not been going into many for sale threads unless it really is something I need/want, but good grief there are tons of sellers wanting to pass the 3% on in here now. Guess that is becoming the norm.
  3. And, apparently, a violation of PP's TOS. Agree, I see several high ticket items I am in the market for and see the add 3% and move right along.
  4. Steve was lighting fast working our deal out. Looking forward to doing more deals with him in the future.
  5. Wow! http://www.ebay.com/itm/162049406992?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

  7. Super great deal for a High Grade Conan slab I needed, quick shipping to Georgia from Canada! Thanks Kasper! Phillip
  8. I was the buyer on 11 from Hector. I sent him a PM basically offering a price with shipping shortly after he posted pics. In the time that he responded the other buyer posted the I will take it per PM. I said oh well I was slow and was going to write it off that I was either too slow or my price was too low. Hector replied back that we could do the deal for our agreed price and said the other buyer did not send a PM. I respected that completely since if any of us were in the middle of a deal we would want to make sure it was followed through. Interestingly enough I did get a Pm from the other buyer. Phillip

  13. Don't think I ever shared these two. The 8 is a head scratcher for the grade. Thanks Phillip
  14. Anthony is top notch, his attention to detail and packing saved a book the post office was determined to damage! Thank you and great looking book! Phillip
  15. Nope the wife had got a hold of an Overstreet and had listed a few already, the Avengers were obvious the key's had been plucked.Only way I found her was from winning a Batman comic and glad I did. For my cost I was not concerned on the 14 going somewhere else.
  16. Back from out of town, Here is the second half with the Iron Fist. This was an original owner collection and I left a lot of DC with them. Pretty cool to see all the early direct editions with the marked out barcodes. He bought from Comic shops in the 70's. Some of these are very high grade as he read them once and put them away and I was glad to keep the runs in tact.
  17. Usually when I go look at "large" collections I come back with nothing and browsed hundreds of 90's books. Today was a little different, after winning a Batman Comic I struck up conversation with the seller to find out she was selling her husbands collection. After some back and forth we decided I would come up today and take a look. She sent me a partial list as best she could so I already told her I would take the Conan Run and the Gi Joe run. I was pleasantly surprised to find good amount of runs of several Bronze comics and some Silver Avengers and Fantastic Four, this is not all but all I dealt with tonight on organizing and getting into bags and boards. Still plenty of Iron Fist and PM/Iron Fist to unbox. The good thing was the Valiant books were the most modern books there so it was pretty nice to flip through lots of .12c and .15C books for once. Phillip
  18. Is a JLA 1 worth so little? Plus not sure that i'd trade for a book that is market saturated. In order to sell it you'll have to price it low. Yes because I've been getting offers of only 100-150 dollars for it. So let me get this straight. You traded a 450-500 book for a 150-200 book?? Don't try to use logic.
  19. What was the actual date 129 would have been on the stand? December 1973?
  20. I see what your doing and the answer to that would be no I wouldn't credit him $100 for it. What I am "doing" is showing you integrity. I had a long advice response typed, then realized you will not heed it. Good luck to you.
