Question for owner of HP Scanjet 8200:
I bought one after reading this thread and really enjoy it. One of the issues that does come up is when i scan something, at times it will start and then speed ahead and hit the end and continue to click. I just pull the plug and let it restart. Anybody else have this issue and find a solution?

I opened my gift from @horsehater27 and for my first year participating was very appreciative of receiving the gift. Almost as fun as getting my Secret Santa gift. I removed the address label before opening. The sketch of Boba Fett says "You can run but you'll only die tired..."

I received my package in the mail today. Left by the mailperson at the front door. Happy that it was delivered today instead of yesterday since the northeast had a ice storms on Tuesday. Don't need my present frozen. LOL.
Thank you Secret Santa.

Sent my package yesterday. This is the first year I participated in this and appreciate the tips (i.e. write on the box the packages are wrapped, add a card, etc.) Can't wait to receive my package and for my secret to receive theirs and open it. What a fun event.

How much did Al Milgrom charge for the Antman. Was it done at the show or a press how commission? Thanks
The Antman was $200 for a bust. It was done at a show. Stopped by his table on Friday and he asked when I'll be at the show. He took my cell phone and contacted me at the end of the day on Saturday.

I’ve had some framed and they look great!
Good option as well

I've seen these which look like cheaper options. Didn't know if anybody had any experience with them.

If you just want them slabbed, you can still send them to CGC. Its just going to be green/qualified label
It was an option that I've thought of. Just wanted to see if anybody used another option.

I thought this might be the best place for this topic conversation. I have some blank comic books that I had sketches completed on them. For whatever reason, I did not get these sketches graded by CGC and currently sits in a plastic sleeve and board. For those that have ungraded sketch comics, do you use anything specific to showcase those sketches?

Good afternoon everyone. The last 24 hours of a reply to buy. You'll see some graded X-Men, Spiderman and other stuff. There are two boxes of raw stuff as well. Enjoy!

I went on Friday and had an enjoyable time. I did like the separate sections based upon what you are there for. Spent my time in artist ally. The bathroom situation was insane but after the first time just went outside the floor to other bathrooms. I saw two booths selling bootleg videos and don't know how they allowed that at the show.
Only one artist that I approached didn't seemed interested in my business. It would have been nice if we got something from the show though instead of them trying to sell you it. Last year they gave a plastic bag to put some of your purchases in.

Picked this up at a tag sale. My brother picked up ASM 300 and Iron Man 128. Great impromptu tag sale and making a contact with someone selling off their comics.

Another option is to check out conventions that are near you or you are interesting in attending. Look at their artist alley and use the sites that @Ron C. recommended to see their other work and costs. Contact them to see if they're doing a list beforehand or what their process is for sketches.
