  1. Nice, Jimbo. I probably would leave that one slabbed up if you have already read the Wolverton story.
  2. Thanks guys. Surprisingly the spine is nice and intact. The copy does have a fair amount of ct on it but structurally it is super nice.
  3. Recent feebay pick up which now seems like a steal
  4. Underappreciated cover imo. How was the pickings for pre code there? Prices crazy?
  5. Nice insta-verse Pat. He moaned and groaned And prayed to the gods Of the porcelain throne Fiery shots, god awful sounds By the time it was over he lost 10lbs!
  6. Good, eh eh, cause if you have to ask, it ain't that noticeable. Look at the center of the E in Haunted, on the left edge. Looks to be a tiny bit of blue, and I didn't notice it myself on the book; not until looking at the blown up scan when I posted it here. I might be wrong but that looks like a printing error not CT to me. I ran my finger over it, and didn't feel any roughness; it was as smooth as the rest of the cover, and there is no visual indication on the back of the cover either, perhaps you're right; works for me! I think it has to be used to make the book more visually improved on purpose to be considered ct, doesn't it? I wouldn't think this would be ct.
  7. Looks like a very nice copy! Where's the ct at?
  8. This one is courtesy of the very talented Jimmers! Hooded cowards in the night Evil hatred knows no bounds Torchlight flickers Faces out of sight The group it gathers round Under moon Clear and full A womans bondage Her life means nil To fiends taking Liberty as hostage Robes ripple Like the fire Even though the Night is still Piercing gazes Show no traces Of humanity Long gone Cackles of glee Yet in shame they shall flee At the end Of the victims Dying song.
  9. If anyone is interested in writing short stories I think it would be good addition to this thread as well. I am working on a couple gruesome shorts write now.
  10. Well it seems Poruipine has wrapped up the 2.0 addition of the contest! Congrats on a great poem that gathered tons of support. You get a copy of Men's Adventures #26! Had a great time this go around and we will do another one in the near future. Back to business as usual so feel free to share whatever you please!
  11. (thumbs u Thanks for the kind words. Hope you stick around and share some more.
  12. Thanks, Jay! Hope everyone has or had a great fourth! That poem was inspired by my wife who said while we were watching fireworks "tonight would be a good night to kill someone with all the fireworks going off." That's why I love that woman. I seem to write a bunch of poems in this thread about murdering a wife to the contrary tho! Maybe all of those was inspired by the ex.
  13. "Independence Day" This fourth of July will be reason to celebrate Months of devious plans, dare not hesitate Slyly whistling 'Thy Country tis of thee' Eyes glazed over in heinous glee Glances her way with a crooked smile Planned her doom with cunning guile Firework echoes blast in the high rise suite He studies the science of the blasts beats He raises the barrel to the back of her head And watches the rockets, up they fled Boom! Boom! Boom! The first was for his own sick pleasure The other two just for good measure! The devils plan has made its play Now it's time to celebrate his Independence Day!
  14. With approval from all contestants this entry is now an official submission into the contest. You can vote for it but I can't edit the poll (top of page 19!!) So it will have to be submitted on the thread or to me. Thanks!
  15. Sorry to hear all the misfortunes but some of the best poets found great inspiration from tragedy. Not that I wish anyone misfortunes!
  16. That was a really gruesome, macabre bit of verse Porcupine! Sorry my contests seem to bring you bad luck tho!
  17. Roar and then duck. Insta-verse, inspired by... Hated by women preyed on by men I thought I'd never see the goddess again after she's defeated the 50 foot tall woman those of us with sense we got up and ran straight out of that theater into the night vowing not too watch sci-fi thrillers without sufficient light the goddess then left for a planet unknown preparing for conquest, no need for a throne she continued to grow, well beyond reason we thought and other jealous women began to deviously plot but alas it was all of no earthly avail cause in that short red dress men protected her without fail Very awesome, Dale!
