  1. This is the issue I stop my Hulk run at I just thought it was both funny and also weirdly seemed like a final Hulk story.
  2. I've had my eye out for a nice copy of this issue for a while and they seem few and far between. Saw one on Ebay recently that I should have snagged as I thought it was under graded and already priced nice, but got distracted and it was gone.
  3. I've got zero issues with people collecting moderns or even with buying them thinking they will remain valuable ten or twenty years beyond publication (a handful of them probably even will!) I don't have a problem with some speculation buying or "investing" or any of the other similar aspects of the hobby, even though I joke about it now and then. I just worry that many potential long term collectors who are new to the hobby, after getting too wrapped up in what their moderns (or any of their comics from any age) are worth or might be worth one day, will leave the hobby when they figure out the thousands of dollars they thought they had are really a few tens of dollars. All the youtubers pumping the latest hot books, the people in the game purely for speculation who are guilty of pumping books they know full well will be worthless and soon, can all take a hike.
  4. Anyone not selling their moderns as soon as they get "hot" will be sads. Moderns are today's beanie babies.
  5. let us know how it does at CGC. pretty glorious to find a bigger key with multiple covers in the wild. grats on this one! I have two double covers in my collection, neither are keys, but both are still super cool to me.
  6. This is what you are up against when scanning ebay lots for sweet, sweet deals and steals, people. You better be practicing cause wowza!
  7. I'm not home for the holidays, so don't have much access to finding good stuff for my usual offering so this year I'll put up a $50 gift via paypal to be used ONLY FOR COMIC BOOK RELATED PURCHASES AND I'LL KNOW CAUSE ME AND SANTA ARE LIKE THIS. AND JESUS, TOO. We will be watching you...
  8. man this collection is already epic. And there are so many boxes left to go.
  9. And here I am with stacks of 80s toy glory. Dino Riders, including the big dawg Tyrannosaurus Rex and a G.I. Joe Stealth plus other joes stuff. Christmas was the one time of year our parents really spoiled us. This must be ‘88 or so.
  10. Going back a little further in time, here I am showing off my brand spanking new Transformers Metroplex. And some construx behind me. In the second pic is a G.I. Joe Sky Lynx that I also got that year
  11. I’ve dug up some: here’s me in the process of opening a Cobra Stiletto. Must be circa 1987
  12. I guess I just don’t understand the hair splitting going on here. If it can even be considered hair splitting. Literally everyone whose at least a casual collector, knows mycomicshop and is familiar with their website. Yes I agree it’s a little annoying that they don’t field questions through their eBay platform, but if I have 23k to spend and I know full well they can easily be contacted via their own website and by phone, I would be far less annoyed. Now a seller who is only on eBay and/or has an impossible to navigate alternative Selling platform, and who also doesn’t field eBay questions would be another story. im just not getting it. mycomicshop’s explanation for this particular business practice seemed reasonable as well. im just not getting it
  13. It's ridiculous imo that it isn't in the same territory as Hulk 1, Amazing 1, etc. It for sure should be a top 5 silver age super-hero book. I think it might finally be on the way now.
  14. David bought some books from me recently and it was a very pleasant and easy transaction. Thanks!
  15. The colors and art on so many of these are really mind blowing. I know war isn’t the most overlooked genre, but imo these books deserve much more attention.
