  1. meanwhile I'm over here digging on ebay for warrens with my $33 ebay bucks
  2. Thanks! I got a small stack of warrens as well, and a bunch of super hero stuff. It was a pretty good con. glad I was able to get a four day pass for once.
  3. This is my horror comics haul from NYCC over four days. Anyone who says you can't find great deals at the biggest conventions either doesn't know enough about what they are looking at when they are box diving, or they don't actually go to the biggest shows I paid like $1.50 for a bunch of these, $4 and change for bunch of others, $8 to 10 for a few of them, and only two did I pony up for and still got nice deals. Thanks again to @Dale Roberts for the beautiful House of Mystery 189. It's my first issue in the run I found the Dark Mansion #1 hiding in a box for an almost silly price. I left #2 behind because it had slightly rusting staples that were clearly staining the cover, but I kind of regret doing it now because the price was good and it was the only copy I saw anywhere. The Sunday blowout deals were amazing and I dug out so much stuff other people overlooked in their hurry to look for the youtuber hot flips Sorry about they mylar glare
  4. Thursday and Friday were quite tolerable as far as crowds go. Saturday and Sunday were absolutely bananas. But it was great!
  5. Doesn’t feel like we are anywhere near 80 prizes 🤔
  6. Considering picking up The Creeps. How are the stories?
  7. I bet they are amazing to behold in person. Those covers are beautiful, and I wanna read them.
  8. The entire premise of this thread seems a little iffy and based on purely anecdotal evidence. I spent four days at NYCC. There were comics galore, from all ages and in all grades (of course golden age stuff is much tougher to find and in grade. of course). There are quite a dang lot of dealers actually, when you add them all up. It might not seem that way if you are only there for a day or a few hours. Even though they are mostly congregated in one area of the show floor, they aren't all in that area and in the vast chaos that is NYCC their numbers can seem small. But it just isn't the case. Walls were lined with big keys, and just because you either didn't see one you were looking for or only saw one copy, doesn't mean dealers didn't have that book or multiple copies of that book. This has been my anecdotal contribution to the thread. I hope OP had a nice time at NYCC regardless!
  9. It presents really nicely for the grade. All the flaws are along the outer parts of the book. I don’t see any major rips and the art is nice and clear. 😍
  10. Very cool book! I’m at 3.0 ish, MAYBE 3.5, as well. This book won’t press into a higher grade, IMO. This is the first time Silver Surfer appears outside of the Fantastic Four, correct?
  11. I’ve never seen those Dracula books. FANTASTIC MORE STUFF ADDED TO MY LIST OF WANT, THANKS
  12. After talking snot about the lack of high quality mags at nycc, I found a guy Sunday who, when asked if he had any skywalds, pointed to a “$7 each” box and said some might be in there. I yoinked out a lower grade psycho #9 and a pile of nicer reader warrens. So it wasn’t a total bust. Didn’t see a single Vampirella 1 all weekend grabbed Eerie 16, 46, 83, 130, and 131 creepy 91 Vampirella 55 in about VF 7 bucks a pop!
  13. Starting to think @N e r V is after the exact books I am waiting for
  14. I was going to ask if that was her hand, but it looks...manly
