  1. Thanks much for reaching out to his rep to get the low down
  2. Oh yea, I get that. Who wants a sketch that looks like everyone else's. So like me you'll also be passing on this opportunity also. I had hoped it would look something like the batman 50 sketch cover, the one with batman and catwoman, but I see that wont be happening. So that would be something like the a 2k sketch. I had thought a sketch was a true sketch and not like a doodle. There should b a name for each so theres no questions or confusion because one looks completely different from the other and I cant see how they r both called sketches
  3. I wouldn't care about the 2 years myself, tough lock down or not, it's the price point and what u get for it that's the issue. It would b my first, so I really dont know what the prices r. I have 2 minty blank action 1000s and knew exactly what I wanted on them, but if this is similar for what u will get from all the artists then I'm going to just stick with getting my books signed. I'll keep my eyes open, but as it looks, I'll b passing if it's like this.
  4. Pic 1 beautiful, pic 2 nice, but I'd expect more for 875. What's the per hour break down, meaning how long does everyone think it takes to do a pic 2 sketch? Is that like 4 to 5k per hour? I cant do it
  5. I agree, and I really wanted my own thing with what I wanted him to draw, but looking at that sample I dont believe it will look how I think it should look. Not for 875 though. I'd like to have something much more detailed. I'm going to pass on this one. Thanks for all of your inputs
  6. For 875 that's exactly what I DON'T want. U may have up my mind
  7. Ok...I would love to have a Jim Lee sketch and now the opportunity has arisen through CGC for $875. They have an example photo which doesn't look impressive at all. It will be my first sketch, on a book, from anyone. when I think of paying $875 for a sketch i want something sweet, not a something that looks like to too 2 minutes to do. Has anyone seen the example CGC has up? Is it just me or should I expect something more than that example that costs $875. I'd like to think i would get something a lot more that that. Is this what I should expect or what?
  8. Request him through Baltimore comic con. Couldn't hurt. And while ur at it could u also request Richard Bruning, John Higgins, Richard Starks and Alan Moore please? Thanks
  9. I'm just shocked I got caught. My only complaint is why is media mail only for educational material. Cant they make it to include comics up to, say 1 or 2 lbs. So we cant hundreds of books for $5, but we can ship 10 to 15 50 cent books and not have to charge $7 -$10 to do it they're light weight comics not heavy books and mags. So just limit the weight when shipping these. More of us could sell the cheep stuff for low shipping costs, buyers would b more apt to buy when the shipping price is low and the PO would make a killing. Seems like a win win for everybody. Why hasn't anyone capitalized on this. Do I have to do everything myself
  10. EXACTLY. IF UR GUY OR GIRL HAS A STICK UP THEIR YAHOO THEN IR SCREWED
  11. It all depends on who looks at it package. At the PO I frequent, she never asks and questions, I just say media mail she says OK. We talked to her today and she said she had no clue I couldnt mail comic books media mail. I was like really. Some post office employees act like its hurting them to take this comic book media mail package. I tried to mail a sport card in a top loader at another post office and the lady said OH, THIS IS RIGID ITS GONNA COST MORE. I WAS LIKE OMG. I said never mind, she was shocked and said I don't wanna mail it, I said nope. I just took it to my local lady, she took it, weighed it (under and ounce), and said thanks. Sometimes all u have do is go to the other guy and do it right in front of the one that said no just to get their reaction.
  12. 2021 now. Media mail for my returned package was $3.14. First class mail it was $5.98. Big difference when mailing cheap books
  13. I got a cgc book shipped in large usps box that was smashed, with pieces shaking around inside and a tire track on the smashed box. Yes, it was actually delivered. I filed a claim with pics and said r u freaking kidding. I got my money back. I still keep the pics on my hard drive for nostalgia.
  14. HELLO! YES YES! OH SNAP!I JUST GOT CAUGHT! They just returned 3 50 cent turok dinosaur hunter books I sold. OMG! For the first time they checked, now I have to pay $5.98 to ship them. So I would've had to charge $5.98 to the buyer for 3 worthless books. Can anyone tell me who would pay that much for 3 common books? I'm tellin u man, there has to be a better way. Can anyone tell me WHY the PO doesn't allow comic books or mags, but specifically comics to be shipped media mail? Is it a weight issue? There has to be a better way, why hasn't the another shipper tried to capitalize on this niche? If I raise my prices to post office first class then no one will ever buy. If no one buys, then I dont ship, if I dont ship, the PO doesn't many money from me. It just doesn't make any sense. If they don't do something, just the taxi cab companies slept for 70 years and let uber and lyft take their business the same will happen to the post office if they dont wake the up. There has to be a better way
  15. Means nothing unless it sells. Did it sell yet, what's the verdict?
  16. A whole lot of them and ones that r rarer than the 1:1000
  17. I read an article that said they only fulfilled 51% of the order for all stores and the remaining order was substituted with the NOT FIRST PRINTs, this correct? If so, wouldn't that make the NOT FIRST PRINTs rarer that the FIRST PRINTS? If this is correct its amazing how one print is much more valuable than the other when they each have almost the same number of prints. R people just not getting it?
  18. So ru saying the 1:1000 cannot b purchased right now on ebay or that all the 1:1000 made are only sold with the sigs?
  19. Soooooo, have u purchased a plot and Where exactly is it located?
  20. Right now, but it's only rare until he does more signings as I'm positive he will. Especially if a movie comes out. He will definitely do appearances and signings to promote it and I doubt it'll cost 1k. I'll have my rarer brzrkr books prepped and ready.
  21. When there's hype about a book it always pops in the beginning, then dies down. So most make their killin in the beginning. Look at an eniac 1. 9.8 sold for 700. I guarantee it'll come back down. That's what they do in the beginning. Mark my words.
  22. True, but we're already talkin 2k from the jump, not went up to 2k. Let's say WD went for 2k before talk of the series. What's it worth now. I'm really asking cause i haven't checked in a while, but last I looked I think it was around 2k, so it would have stayed the same
