This is one book to keep an eye out on well before it is released. Make sure to secure your copy before Wednesday. Many online retailers are already sold out of all covers, mostly due to the introduction of a bad- new character, Darth Vader #3 is Wednesday’s can’t miss comic.

  2. here's something interesting:

    Darth Vader #3

. The reason to seriously consider getting this comic is for a couple of reasons. The first reason is because of the introduction of a new female character named Aphra. The second is because this is the very first introduction of a any new Star Wars characters within the Marvel Universe since around 1986 when they were introducing a bunch of Droids in Star Wars Droids #2

There is a Salvador Larroca Variant -- Limited to 1:25

  3. I think we've all made our arguments - some of us, like myself, multiple times - and now I think it's time to stop piling on.

I don't want Tim to read this thread and feel like we're coming after him with torches and pitchforks. I respect him, and I know that the success of this book is far more important to him than it is to any of us - he has to make what he feels is the best decision for the book.

As readers and collectors it is now our job to simply support the book... or not. I'm working on trying to figure out my own mind on this as I typically do not support the 'series of mini-series' approach, however, I really respect the open approach Tim has had with us, the fans, and I find myself wanting to support him as much as I want to support the book.

Anyway... lets move beyond this piling on, if he's made a decision, he's made a decision - lets not make this a corrosive environment for him.

YUP Tim, please do not take this as an attack, remember we love the book. And we all wish only the best for you and Enormous . Thanks for involving us and informing us on what's happening.

  4. Vol 2 # 1 (of 6) , Wow absolutely no legacy there. Your telling everyone right off the bat, first off this story has been playing for a bit (no idea how long), and don't expect it to be around for a while ..... as its only 6 issues

I certainly hope this is not a final. We now just have a mini series book if its true, so much harder to build reader loyalty. I guess they will see # 1 sell a bit more to speculators but damn, I'm a new reader and I see a book labeled Vol 2 , #5 would I buy it? I doubt it.

Anyway its all speculation at this point, lets wait for Tim to give us the details. It may be, that this is the only way we get the book at all.

  5. Going to be interesting

The Phantom has a bunch of 9.8 registered (48 registered 9.8)

The 1A has the most float of the major 4 issue ones (38 registered 9.8)

The Hastings has the least 9.8 registered , and may be hard to find at high grade if this book becomes a screamer, with the inherent cover (white) issues. (16 registered 9.8)

The 1B has a lot of registered 9.8s and I think may grade the easiest (48 registered 9.8)

  6. Not sure when 7 comes out I heard June ? :wishluck:(shrug)

I belive the tpb becomes out some time soon and then the digital feild guide.

I know I had a hard time finding a 2b in good shape for along time. I know most stores around here only have the 5a and 6b left and not many of them. They taunt me every week.

Take them home, they don't deserve to be out in the wild, give them a good home

I believe the trade comes out in about 3 weeks
