Oh man. Didn’t know there was a show in Richmond this weekend. Maybe try and stop by if there is art to be had.

There you're getting into things like "Jim Lee layouts" and someone else's finishes (I forget the other artist who is credited...I think he's European). So, it's not as cut and dry as to who actually put pencil to paper and to what degree. Europa pages can be really pretty and indicative of Lee, but I've always had doubt about how much pencil he put to paper whenever a page comes up. Not my thing, but I know others scoop them up when they can.
I thought Camuncoli did the layouts and Jim did the finishes?

Congratulations to the buyer and seller. Great looking page.

Where was he located? I totally missed it. All I saw was Anthony's "Table of 1000 Portfolios".
I saw him Friday. He was sitting at a table near Frank Cho’s. I think it was supposed to be Kwan Changs booth? Quesada was sitting there also signing books for CGC.

Anybody pick up anything? I didn’t but had a fun time walking around. There wasn’t many dealers but artist alley had a wide selection of art. Mark Morales, Dave Petersen, and even saw some Ramona Frandon items.
Metropolis had a nice Colan Daredevil and saw Albert Moy with a incredible Romita Jr Daredevil. Quesada brought a few pieces but the covers were way out of my price range.
Talking to Jim Shooter was fun. Him telling the story of trying to ink a Kirby FF page with a watercolor brush was a highlight.

I'll be going Friday. No agenda other than to look around and soak in the comic world as a good excuse to take off work. Doesn't appear to have any art dealers outside of Anthony's Comic Art. Hope to say hi to him, let him know how fun Dueling Dealers has been, and to meet Chris Bachalo who I'm a huge fan of.
Same here. Headed up Friday. Taking the day off also. Hopefully there’s more art than just Anthony’s.

So Baltimore is a little over a week away. Any board members going? If so, what’s on the to do list.
I’m Just happy to get out of the house and go to a con. Hopefully see some nice art and maybe crack a beer and some crabs.

My buddy Hoss and I had to brave Port Authority at the crack of dawn. At least Dunkin was open.
Once out in Jersey, we missed our stop. On the walk over, I fell, sprained my ankle, and tore up my hand. And we had to sprint across a highway and hop the median! It was either that or get Lyme's disease from the tick-ridden field of head-high grass the GPS said to walk through.
So, Comic Art Con organizers... PLEASE switch to a different venue that's easier to get to from Manhattan. LOL
We drag ourselves up to the dealers' room. Whaddaya mean cash only?! Sigh...
OK, we finally dig into some art! Here are some pics of random stuff that caught my eye-
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/M191EebjlvPByhPd1lyoboZ4GrP9RoC9SdHKReA5yPRThe JPGs have the dealer name. Go ask them about any missing prices.
Big ups (Do kids still say that?) to @Sideshow Bob for purchase advice. (But big bags of poop for bailing on us!)
@AnkurJgets the Gold Star for the show by helping me with a deal. Mistah J, you're the best!
Great seeing some familiar faces. I wish I could have chatted with more folks, but we had to RUN for the bus! On my bad ankle! The bus was then involved in an accident. And we were moments from being attacked by a meth head who thought I stole the $40 he lost. Hoss then made the adult decision for us to call a Lyft... and take it all the way back to the city.
Btw, the only thing to eat in walking distance of the show was a KFC. Yes, the fast food chain that's so dumbed down, they dropped their real name and settled for three letters. And I'm vegan. Yeah, that was fun. You haven't lived until you've put together a meal of KFC sides.
So let's work on a new venue. I was sorely missing that nice restaurant inside the old location.
But thanks to Albert Moy for bringing this bad boy... Walking out with this made the whole mess worth it:
@stinkininkin Not enough good things to say about this page!
Nice to see a forum member get this page. I have the page before it.

Where would an Andru Spiderman vs Superman piece range????
I figure an A level page would feature spidey and supes. The last page sold featuring both was 6.6k. I put it in the 5-10k range for a nice one.

This Hit Girl cover is coming up in Heritage.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll keep it on the radar.

Looking to add a nice Darrow piece to the collection. Prefer a published piece rather than his Con sketches. Thanks in advance.
Have items for trade if that interests anyone.

Help with a page and a Byrne FF 274 question, but also a tribute to my friend Bruce who has ALS

Looking at Heritage, they had a FF 274 page that had Adkins on top also. They go with Byrne and Gordon for the artists.
