Just picked up two more copies of Ms Marvel #1 for criminally low price, putting my tab at 6 copies now. Y'all think this is a "sell now" title, with it going for $50-ish right now on the bay, or should I wait on all of them? Or... should I go ahead and sell a couple at current value?

Yeah, I have a feeling that I won't be able to find one of these Scooby Doo issues, tomorrow.... I think I only ever see Scooby Doo comics at two of the LCSs and I'm sure they're already accounted for. Hoping I can run across a newsstand edition in a while.

Just struck gold at my local 2nC... in a newly stocked 50 cent box I found a bunch of signed comics (Cassanova #8 & 9 signed by Matt Fraction, Immortal Iron Fist #8 & 14 signed by Fraction, Monkeyman and O'brien #1-3 signed by Art Adams, and Captain America #454 signed by Mark Waid and Ron Garney) as well as a VF copy of 2004's Amazing Fantasy #15, first Amadeus Cho!

I have a full run, minus the last two issues and #15... just wondering if #15 being reprinted has affected the value/sales of the original release? With the Neil Gaiman issues currently being reprinted, will that affect the value of those original last couple of issues with the low print run, in whoever's educated opinion?

One of my LCS owners told me the comic was being delayed until next week, along with some others including Fade Out. I was definitely interested in getting this one in it being Divinity's next appearance after the mini, and was one of the first in the door to try and get one. I have also noticed that (last I checked, at least) it is not in stock on Midtown or MCS websites even for pre-order.

Very nice on the $6 score, indeed. I checked Mycomicshop before I bought one off of eBay and they didn't have any listed... refreshed the page a little after the eBay purchase and happened upon a 9.0 for $16. I impulse bought it along with a couple other random books I had in my shopping cart from a while ago.

Well, I told myself I wasn't going to go to the shops today... but then I saw that today was the release of Book Of Death. Picked up a BAM/2NC variant and a cover A (that I ordered from Midtown). Before going to the rest of the shops in the area (there really wasn't much of anything this week I was interested in aside from this) I called around to see if any of the shops actually had Legends of the Geomancer. Only one did and they were selling it for roughly eBay price, so I bit the bullet and bought a variant day of release for the first time on eBay... hope it doesn't come back to bite me, . I really should start pre-ordering from Midtown or something for stuff like this in the future.

Was low and cash, so I had to go to the shops today... got the A-Force #1 Molina and Dauterman variants, Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars RTJ variant, Deadpool 15.1 variant, and Spider Verse Rodriguez 1:25 variant all for cover price. Also, managed to grab two copies of Vengeance #1 for a buck a piece. That BAM/2nC Deadpool's Secret Wars variant looks lovely, as does their A-Force variant... will have to get those next time I stop by... they practically sit on their variants for weeks without many purchases.

As someone who owns multiples of all these key books, but doesn't have (nor have I found for a personally reasonable price) a CM 17 2nd printing... I've kind of always thought that 1st cover, 2nd cameo, 2nd print would be the most financially profitable one of all the keys to have if found at a decent price. I would certainly, as a collector, not even as a flipper, get one for personal preference at the right price down the road.

Didn't get out to any comic shops Wed or Thursday, but went to 4 shops today... half of the shops were sold out of Cyclops 12 and CM 14, one had plenty of both (close to ten of each), and another had a few of each. Managed to pick up 4 copies of CM 14 and 1 variant, also picked up two Cyclops 12. Picked up a Batman 40 combo pack, and I have yet to find a newsstand edition at any BAM or other newsstand carriers. Maybe the places are late on stocking them as they usually are, so I haven't given up yet. Also of note, Secret Wars 2 seems to be selling very well... sold out at 3 shops, with plenty #1s still around all over the place. As well, picked up a bunch of Dead Drop #1s for half off... 2 copies each of covers A-D.

Went to six stores today... two had combo packs, of both JL 40 and Batman. One store had yet to price them and were thinking either $30 or $40, the other just said they were on hold for other customers, didn't ask the prices. All but one store had gotten in more JL 40 regular covers since last week, all at cover. As well, one store had a couple dozen copies of FCBD Divergence for the taking, if that book does indeed yield a command. Managed to find a copy of Divinity 2 first print at the last store I expected to even carry it. Still plenty of #3s to be had among 3 stores. The lone copy of #1 first print that I left at one store on Monday was gone today. Word on this book is really spreading. This week's new Valiant book Dead Drop seems to be selling well on first day, too. Also I think of some note is that the 2nC/BAM variant for Secret Wars #1 comes pollybagged with a backing board in it... can't say I've seen that too often. Grabbed one copy, but I don't like that the bag itself has the 2nC price tag on it, and removing it from that type of polybag would be a mess.

I finally got around to picking up some Divinity today between two stores... first store had two copies of 1 1st printing, but I only picked up one. Next store had a good number of 3s and one 1 2nd, I got one of both. Both stores say they have more of the first printings coming in of both 1 and 2, so I may have to check back on that. Just didn't want to be too terribly greedy with a book with a rather low print run, or I would have bought both 1st printings. Also, no Bats 40 at cover price that I can find anywhere. JLA 40 is also wiped out completely. Edit: also, managed to get a some leftover FCBD stuff... signed Captain Canuck (store owner just handed it to me), Valiant 25th, and Divergence.

Every last one of the seven copies of this I have has a tick at just slightly under the top staple, to varying degrees. I don't think I have better than a 9.2, from my crude estimate. Edit: "slightly" being about 1/4 inch from the top staple, after just now looking again.

Went back to one of the stores today that had both Mask cover variant and regular Batman #40s for cover yesterday... Regular cover is now $10, Mask variant is $15. Craziness.

Yeah, I went to Midtown's website immediately after seeing the post in the Combo thread, Wish List listing already. Picked up three Batman #40 Mask covers for cover today, as well as one regular. Between the 5 stores I went to today, two were selling the Mask cover for cover price (one sold it to me at cover while marked at $15 for being a regular), none had the 1:25 (though one store had sold it already for $70), one store had far more of the Mask cover than the regular all bagged at $10. All in all, heavy supply from what I could see, but it seemed everyone I saw buying today had at least one copy of some sort. Also picked up two 1:10 Turtles #45 (one cover price, one $6), another comic that seemed to be in relatively heavy supply. Another note is that any store I saw that had any issues of Sex Criminals #4 and under 1st printings had them marked up to at least $10. Even a 1st printing of #6 I saw for $12. 2nd printings for Darth Vader #3 seems to be selling well, also.

I'm kind of surprised by this, as well... they're not that extravagantly priced, and most of them even sell for cover price that I've seen. The only ones I've seen really fly off the shelves have been the Star Wars #1 variants. However, the 2nC Valiant exclusive covers seem to be selling well enough.

Actually, upon further inspection in my rebagging, Harbinger #1 does have a tear from the bottom staple that goes about 1/4 of an inch up into the cover... still, though, I'm very glad to have this. Don't know how much that tear bumps down the quality, but it's still worth my while, haha. Yeah, I'm in South Carolina and I've gotten in good with the GM at the 2nd and Charles down the street... he lets me look through one of the many long boxes he has yet to sort through in the back per week and lets me have whatever I find for a buck a piece. He knew I had been looking for Valiants and told me of an all Valiant box he got in a week or so ago, and tonight he let me look through it. I definitely owe him something for all of the great stuff I've gotten from him for cheap, especially this most recent box dive.

Well, I just hit the jackpot... just picked up 36 90s Valiants for a dollar a piece, the vast majority being pre-Unity. Absolutely thrilled to have found these, especially: Archer and Armstrong #0 Shadowman #1 Harbinger #1 with card (a couple of tiny spine ticks are the only flaws I can find) Harbinger #3 with card Harbinger #4 with card Eternal Warrior 4,5,6 (all look like 9.8 candidates) Solar #3 (another 9.8 candidate) Solar #10 (also appears to be near that 9.8 condition... in all, I picked up 1-10 tonight all in great shape) X O Manowar #1 X O Manowar #4 My short box of Valiant that I started a few weeks ago is quickly turning into a long box.

Went by 2nd and Charles again today right before work (5:45-ish) and they were in the process of bagging and putting the stickers on new comics... I believe they had 6 or 7 Darth Vader #3, so I got one. Got off earlier than expected and went back to pick up the rest of my pull list for the day, and within 3 hours they had sold out of all of them. If there are indeed more 1st printings to come in next week, I am curious to see how prices on ebay will be, for certain. Also, found a gold Hard Corps #1 for a buck there tonight... I know it's not one of the hotter Valiant books, but it was a gold, so I had to pick it up as I don't have any gold Valiants other than this one. Semi relevant, I guess.

Went to 2nd and Charles first this morning (closest to my house)... they were still processing their comics, and they wouldn't be out until later this afternoon. So, off I went to LCS #1 of the day... Darth Vader #3 sold out, but no surprise here, the store seldom orders heavy on anything. LCS #2... Darth Vader #3 completely sold out, surprising because this store orders heavy even on lesser books. This is all before noon. LCS #3... 5 copies of Darth Vader #3 left, a damaged variant, and a variant being held for another customer. I've got to say, I just heard the news about the new characters yesterday, but I didn't think they'd all sell out so quickly. Craziness.

To back up this question with another, is there any way to distinguish a difference between comics pressed without the card and comics that previously had the card yet was carefully removed? If not, I'd imagine the one with the card to be more valuable?

Columbia, SC... I've found so many nice books here for a buck or (less often) two, that I'd say this store is what got me back into collecting full swing after ten years of non-interest. Within the month of opening I had found, among other less notable issues, UXM 266 and NM 98 for a buck a pop.

Just scored some pre-Unity Valiants from 2nC for a buck a piece before they hit the store floor... highlights are Magnus #0 (no card), Magnus #1, Magnus #5, and Magnus #7. Now, I get the significance of the other issues, but what makes #0 significant? Skimmed through the thread quickly before posting, but didn't see anything to suggest why it goes for so much.

Found three Eternal Warrior #5, six A&A #8, and a Rai #0 all for a buck a piece the other day at 2nd and Charles... I'm starting to embrace the speculator in me, .
