  1. All marvel books have print defects, if you put them in a bag and board improperly, you will scrape half the ink off the back. Still picked the DV# 3 3 best copies from my LCS, and cleaned house out with 5 copies of God Of Thunder 12, and 2 copies of Supergirl 34. See you on the bay.
  2. Wavy covers can be dealt with but the cost was too high for a yellow card/coupon set VF copy. Johnny U made it ok. Thanks again man, so I have to pay it forward somehow. IDK how, but I will figure it out. BTW I am one of those teenage kids who was bled dry by valiant in the 1990's. I walked so many miles in 1992 and 1993 in 2 states, and 2 cities, to multiple news stands, book stores, and comic shops.
  3. watch out. Some "Ungraded" copies have some sneaky pics hiding wavy covers, and stains on the coupon. Not happy about this one I just got, but I can't use buyer protection because of the camera angles not showing the defects. Anyone have another Magnus #5 that they won't take my head off for?
  4. Harbinger 0 is also a good one to pick up. 2nd printing Blue Cover (non mail away version was blue instead of the mail away pink) and included in the Trade Paperback. Really cheap for the non mail away issue, but a key Harbinger book.
  5. IDW is doing great and working with Hasbro so we might actually get to see a Megatron Autobot figure like he appears in the current issues. If anyone wants a more current jump on point, now would be it. A 3rd Ongoing series will come out on Wednesday, and is part 2 of the Combiner Wars crossover. Mcduck71 pointed out that MTMTE #26 is a little hard to come by. Windblade Vol 2 is now the 3rd ongoing IDW Transformers title. Fembots rule. The "COMBINER WARS" have also just started. So far, Devastator took a few hundred thousand years to work. Menasor was not able to work all that well, and Superion was a spontaneous Gestalt. 3 combiners, and now they have a way of making more. here is the 1st appearance of Windblade RI cover.
  6. You do realize you have a better chance of finding Amazing 300 NM in a $1.00 box than I or anyone else does at finding a copy of that not already in someones collection!?!?! However, I do advise you to read the whole arc 17-21, and the prose story at the end of 21. Here are the RI covers for the whole arc. 17, 18, 20, and 21 are 1:10 and easier to find, but not easy.
  7. And here are a few more.... More than Meets the Eye #1 RI Sketch covers, 1:100 ratio. Death of Optimus Prime One Shot RI A is a homage to Marvels TF #1. The RI B is a collection of 125 Transformers issues on that one cover. 1:25 ratio. Est. 500 copies exist of B.
  8. Transformers, Vol. 5: Chaos Theory Last Stand Of the Wreckers Hardcover More than Meets the Eye Vol 1. (this is the one book that brought me back to comics after a 20 year hiatus, the writers first work was in Chaos Theory.)
  9. Sharing Retail Incentive Covers for "The Last Stand Of the Wreckers". These covers are the "Virgin Incentive" that removes all the text from the front cover. Clean look 5 Issue mini series, best read in HARDCOVER due to additional text stories that were cut from the series but still make it into only hardcover editions. Was hard to track down that number 1, I had to go to a U.K. shop to obtain it and pay for international shipping. Cringing that the book would be damaged, it arrived with its other passengers perfectly NM+ In order 1-5
  10. Nice hauls. Anyone want my Guardians Variant collection so I can gamble with VALIANTS?
  11. Sold my other 2 19 RI copies on the bay last year. $250 plus shipping to Canada and U.K. If I manage to find another It would be amazing. If anyone found one, and didn't know the rarity, might have a $4.50 price like my personal NM copy did. There are a few htf issues, and print runs all hover around 10k.
  12. It's all connected if IDW universe G1, just they have come a long way to be where they are now, and have changed a few writers before having 2 solid writers on both current books. There are so many details to this fiction, it is hard to follow unless you are into the story. If you want to read in chronological order, here you go. IDW Reading Order CHRONOLOGICALLY
  13. Haha Of course Starscream and Soundwave are involved. Starscream was put in charge of Cybertron and is currently wearing his Armada body. Body swapping is something they do. He is going back to a more classic look here soon. Sadly, Hasbro toy sales sometimes dictate things. 1st Windblade RI was a tough book for me to find NM. I would say likely a low print run for the regular cover might cause that.
  14. THE DECEPTICON JUSTICE DIVISION. Megatron and Galvatron are 2 different bots unlike the cartoon and other comic incarnations. Transformers the movie is not how it is at all in IDW, and Unicron does not exist in a Physical form, only referd to Primus' Opposite. Galvatron currently controls some Decepticons since Megatron now wears an Autobot Badge on his chest after the last crossover event "Dark Cybertron" which also introduced another fan built bot "Windblade".
  15. I have a feeling that Karl gonna get shot in the face soon. So that issue will likely get some action.
  16. Just a little back history on the rarity of this book, Slated originally as a 1:10 incentive, was changed after initial ordering to a 1:25 RI cover. This caused many places to be shorted a RI cover that month, unless they ordered enough! Less than 200 supposedly exist worldwide. If anyone connected can get actual figures, awesome. I was fortunate enough to find 3 after over a year of searching. That is like finding a NM 98 in the dollar box for Transformers fans.
  17. If going the TPB Route, and want to jump to right now, the following TPB's will help align you well enough to follow the 2 current ongoings which are at issue 39 this month. (Concurrent with most new 52 titles, and probably how these went under radar for so many) . Anyway, follow these: All Hail Megatron Vol 1 and 2 For All Mankind (2009 ongoing series vol 1) Last Stand of the Wreckers Hardcover (Has some text prose stories) Chaos Theory More than Meets the Eye Vol 1 and on Robots in Disguise Vol 1 and on I would have used a spoiler tag, but there had to be enough to entice to read. Plus the news is 10 months old. If wanting to see how IDW started, here you go. These are their first ongoing (kinda) stories. They did the many mini-series thing for a while. But here are the door openers. Infiltration (#0-6) and Stormbringer (#1-4) These are incentive covers mostly the 1:100 for infiltration, Stormbringer Sketch Covers.
  18. Pretty much this list which is the first page, and a few others. But you have to watch for later Valiant characters, Harbinger got really thick with new people in the teens-twenties issues. I made a list.....If someone wants to add pictures, cool. 1st Appearances to nab (and maybe slab if that is what you do) Archer & Armstrong: Archer & Armstrong #0: Regular Cover and Gold logo (Not 2nd Printing) Armorines: Armorines #0 Gold Or X-O #25 (Cameo in X-O 19, 23, 24) Gold (, just one of those things, gold!!!!!) Bloodshot: Eternal Warrior #4, Rai #0, and Eternal Warrior #5 Darque(s): Shadowman #7, Shadowman #8,Eternal Warrior #6 (His Voice, His Torso, His face! ) And His Sister Shadowman #10 Dr. Mirage: Shadowman #16 (Worth a shot, even though his new valiant incarnation is a female) Eternal Warrior: Solar Man Of The Atom #10 1st Print (Given) Toyo Harada: (Gangsta) Solar Man Of The Atom #3 Harbinger: Harbinger #1( A lot of Characters, may be later issues involved with later reintroductions) Watch this one.... H.A.R.D. Corps: Harbinger #10 (And maybe when Bloodshot comes around H.A.R.D. Corps.#5) Ninjak: Bloodshot #6 (Colin King) (Cameo) Bloodshot #7 (Ninjak in Costume) Shadowman: Shadowman #1, (Secret Identity shown playing Sax in a bar in X-O Manowar #4, not sure how that holds up) Rai: Magnus Robot Fighter #5/Rai #1 (Flip Book 1st Appearance is key because of the same reasons it was in the 90's. 1st 100% NEW Valiant Character) (Regular Series Really low print too, and he dies during Unity) Timewalker: A&A/EW #8 (Because A&A EW Rock & Roll World Tour, not low print, but a fun book, and Timewalker has potential.) X-O Manowar: X-O Manowar #1 (armor appearance in Magnus #7 is a stretch, best to go with X-O Number 1)
  19. Besides the industry breaking Supes 75, I remember the JLA issue with the red flap........buying Vengeance of Bane for cover price, and reading my Guardians of the galaxy.
  20. 3 of my favorite books (framed and one day maybe slabbed), 2 Homage covers that some of you can name, and the rarest MTME RI cover and 2nd appearance of Minumus Ambus
  21. Hello CGC forums and hopefully, appreciators of what IDW has done since holding the Transformers comic rights since 2005. Starting a new continuity, the early issues consist of these 3 miniseries: Infiltration Escalation Devastation There are a lot of books because this is a new story, spotlight issues that help weave the plot, and a few others that stand out but the one written now by a TF fan-fiction writer James Roberts (Amazeballs) is the cream of the crop. Even if you HATE transformers, you would read this and go, "good book." After the miniseries there was a self titled ongoing that was ok, I enjoyed them thoroughly but they finally hit their stride in ending that series from 2009, with a 1 Shot and 2 new ongoings. This is a great place to jump on... Death of Optimus Prime One Shot Transformers More than Meets the Eye Transformers Robots In Disguise. (Now Just Simply Transformers so it is not confused with the new cartoon) Two VERY different books, one a social experiment/political drama, the other a space adventure with peril, death and chaos. I have searched around the forums for any signs of this topic. After coming up short, I figured there needed to be some love. Who's in on this too? Low print runs and all! Homage covers..... MTMTE is by far the best read, because it has some major shake ups. Like...... Megatron, the AUTOBOT. JLA Homage....
  22. Truth is, the shell had to break so it could be revealed that it was Corey Feldman inside the whole time. Stuck in that hot turtle suit.....
  23. hehe, 15k is a HUGE print run for a IDW book. Most Transformers books are at that or 5K less. If it is anything like another IDW book, it will be like that of Transformers More than Meets the Eye 19 RI 1:25 cover. I have sold 2 over $250.00 each to people out of country. Not a lot of IDW TF love here on these boards. We could change that....... I have almost 2 long box collection of RI covers from IDW's G1 universe. I have read it front to back. Twice, then 3 more times. I don't collect a regular or sub cover, unless there is NO incentive. One day I will slab them all.....CGC will be rich off of fees.
  24. ... Say what?!?!?! please see IDW Transformers More than Meets the Eye issues 28- current (which is 38 waiting on 39) I quit comics, but the writing on MTMTE is the best I've read in years.
