  1. Man, this was a pretty disappointing thread to read. This was one of the few eBay sellers I was keeping an eye on that had some GA auctions I was regularly interested in recently.
  2. I used to collect cartridge-only video games to play then tried emulating for the first time and wouldn't go back to buying the originals to play for the most part haha. I still buy CIB games of my favorites just to have the boxes to display, and only for my favorite series did I buy a graded set. After I bought them, I realized graded games aren't that appealing to me. For some reason, unlike my comic books, I like when the boxes aren't sealed/wrapped in plastic and are a bit beat up (lucky for me with how prices have gone for sealed games). Edit: I will admit that black box games are the only ones that really appeal to me in impeccable shape. Those boxes are so simple but beautiful.
  3. Beautiful Flash book! I'll have to follow up with one of those Hawkman and 1st Hawkgirl covers.
  4. Speed was definitely an issue when both putting bids in and changing pages. I feel like they don't really need a visible seconds counter on the clocks in the catalog overview unless it's <10 minutes (or so) or if you click into a specific item. That might improve the ease of looking through the catalog, placing tracking bids, and load times. You don't really need to know that info until the end of the auctions when you generally know what you will be bidding on anyways. If the load speed and the time it takes to register each bid can be improved, I don't have any big complaints about the auction section now. I liked the UI once I got the hang of it.
  5. There are still a couple stragglers that were out of place when I went through the listings last night with a slab or two in the OA section, but it looks pretty good from what I saw. Hopefully the mass bidding works, was tested, and goes well with the new site.
  6. I can't even figure out how to log in to CC to try to add things to my watch list. Every time I reset my password, it says the new password is invalid, and trying to register a new account with the same email doesn't work because it says it's already in use.
  7. Page 104 and onward of the current April auction are all sold listings from the last auction.
  8. I have no insight to higher testing capability for the government, but I actually was just talking to a family doctor that was next to me at dinner. He told me people are coming in raging about not being able to be tested despite them wanting one or showing some symptoms. He said the thing they don't understand is that he's equally as angry because he doesn't get to choose who gets tested. It's some algorithm that chooses who gets tested (if anyone) due to the scarcity of testing kits based on their vulnerability and severity of symptoms from what I understood. Despite this, he doesn't have testing kits anyways. He said he just found out this afternoon that he's supposed to have testing kits tomorrow to start. I don't know how true that is or if I misunderstood fully, but I found it interesting.
  9. I'm a big fan of Korean and Japanese movies so I import a lot for my movie collection. That and comics are my big collections. I like collecting old science things too, but I havent bought much for this collection yet. I also used to collect old video game things and magic cards too. Sadly I dont have pictures of those on my phone at the moment.
  10. Big thanks to @converseba for reaching out to me to sell this book! It's one I've been wanting for a while.
  11. These are my favorites of the ones you listed. Hawkman 4 I feel like has taken a pretty decent dip lately in like <9.0 grade. Definitely one I'm looking to pick up again finally. Would also like to add: SC 80 - 1st SA Phantom Stranger BB 34 - same as you had, but 1st SA Hawkgirl too! JLA 46 - 1st SA Sandman 1st's of GL villains Didn't know that was the 1st SA Plastic Man either. I'll definitely have to keep an eye out.
  12. I will say that I have never met a video game or comic collector that also collects shoes. Based on that and a few friends I have that collect shoes, I think they appeal to different people for the most part honestly. I don't know how many collectors that market could potentially take away from comics though. That said, I think superhero movies have made a decent impact on many young people. I think the movies have could spark a interest in my generation and younger ones to get into collecting comic books years from now when they are older and more of them have greater disposable income, especially key/iconic books if they didn't grow up as readers. Besides competition from video games, MTG, and other similar hobbies, I think the big question is how the disposable income of my generation and younger will compare to those who are leaving the hobby. So many younger people have so much debt that it's hard to see their spending in comics comparing with the current comic buyers, but who knows. If there's anything I've learned first-hand, a bunch of rich and nerdy programmers can support a collectible market pretty well like MTG That market continues to defy my expectations haha. Overall, even if I can totally see the market going down over the coming years, I think it's totally possible that it comes back around years from now in the future.
  13. I 've watched a few of his videos whenever the subject catches my eye. Last week, I was watching one of his newer videos and he mentioned using the CGC boards to try to find info on something. I can't remember what video, but he searches the forums it sounds like even if he doesn't post.
  14. Swiggity swooty! I'm coming for that booty (booty=treasure. Argggghhh, matey!)! per PM. Why am I cursed by finding an upgrade for this book the month after I buy my previous copy for so many months in a row?
  15. Just got a book in from Rick. Arrived perfectly and packed well.Excellent communication and accomodating on payment method. Would definitely buy from again. Thanks!
  16. Another one just arrived. I think this is a Pennsylvania pedigree copy too, but not sure
