I’m in the 3.0/3.5 range.

Beautiful book!!
I guess if I were in a cr@ppy mood I’d say this is a 7.0. The issues that I’m drawn to are the back cover; foxing, color rub, and general grime
That said, I’d say 8.0 after P&C

That’s fair feedback from @scburdet and @Lninefingers
Please see attached a pic of the top edge of book. I think stains are from printing process.
-
Please. please, please get this book pressed and cleaned. It will stun you.
I think your lower corner is a color break crease, but not by much. It will flatten out nicely.
The back cover can be cleaned up a lot -- I am not sure if the marking the "Town" field on the form is a stain or dirt.
I think a good cleaning with a couple of presses could bring this to a 7.5 (or higher) -- I am the optimist!

Obviously this is not pressed and cleaned.... I am assuming that you will be getting it p&c'ed.
Front cover; bottom right corner should press out. I say "should" because sometimes after pressing the fold reveals a crease -- just saying.
Front cover, top left corner might be a tear, not sure what that is...
Back cover, usual spine ticks -- pressing will mitigate those, but not eliminate any color breaks.
I think you would have a 9.4... hope that helps.
-
I guess I would flip the question... what is the minimum grade that you need in order to buy? and how much?
The tear is a bummer. I am think 9.0 / 9.2 with a 9.0 lean.
Looking on eBay under "star wars heir to the empire 1 cgc" and then going to the <Advanced> filter clicking on the <Sold> and <Completed Listing> options you kind of get a range.
If you can get the book for $20-$50 (or less), then sure.
I guess the last question is... "Do you WANT the book OR do you WANT TO SELL the book"
I know this is probably obvious to this board.... it's just that I have this internal conversation with myself several times a week... including "if I buy this book at this price would my wife stab me..."
GoodLuck!

The crease is a bummer... super book. Looks like it has been pressed already. I am curious about the indentation at the bottom.
These seems like a 7.5. I would have gone higher but that crease is front and back...
-
Beautiful book -- wow. I am in the 6.0-6.5 range. Depends on how they view the "R" on front cover.
-
I think you are between an 8.5 and a 9.0. The back cover corner is the key. IMHO.
-
^ I am in the same boat... 9.2 or 9.4 maybe with a 9.4 lean. Depends on how the lower right corner (front) and lower left corner (back) press out.
-
9.0 or above. I am in the 9.2 / 9.4 range. The only things that I really want to see from different angles are:
Upper left corner on the back cover
Lower right corner on front cover
Top edge of front cover
If the back cover is a color break crease then I would drop to a 8.5 / 9.0 with an 8.5 lean
If the lower right corner is color breaking crease, then I would say the same.
If they are both then I would go to 7.5/8.0
Hope that helps -- pretty book!

I don't know how to read that stain. Is it a printing / production error? It looks like it has been pressed. It is odd that the stain is throughout the book.
Without the stain -- 9.2 / 9.4 with a 9.2 lean
With the stain -- clueless would like to see what more experienced guys have to say.
Digging the Frank Miller!

Nice! How did the back turn out? I am assuming that we were looking at "pre-pressing". Curious how those indentations laid out.

This seems like a 7.5 with a maybe at 8.0. Looks like it has been pressed already -- is that correct?
-
The upper corner on the front cover looks a bit chipped. I think this is a beautiful book.
Pressed and cleaned I think that you are looking at 8.0 or 8.5 -- that chip is a bummer.
-
Wow -- this is a nice book. Guess I am still the optimist. I don't know if this has been pressed and cleaned. There are some things on it that make me suspect it has...
At this point I would be at a 7.5 or 8.0 (after another press and clean). The back cover is where attention needs to be made -- look at your 9th pic above.... the shining spot looks like someone did some light cleaning. That needs to be softened a bit.
I see a color break crease on front cover across Mordo's head -- it's curious because it is at 90 degree to right cover. Most creases are corners (Captain Obvious -- I know), just wondering if this is a printing / production error.
Love the color!

Above 9.0 as is. Cleaned and pressed? Well... higher.

in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?

Sorry -- the back cover is too blurry. The front looks pretty nice. There seems to be a pressable crease. Would be nice to have a few more photos.
