  1. The idea for this thread is to highlight comic books that are not keys or variants but are hard to find like low print last issues example. GI JOE 155 or some 2000s newsstands. Anyways I don't mind if time to time someone posts that he found a hard to find variant from a dollar bin..
  2. That cosmic circus banner makes this movie look like a soap opera but maybe it is?!?
  3. $500/month seems pretty low but maybe some WhatNot sellers get even more(and some of course nothing). Anyways this makes that "reason" of selling con-variants to cover some of the cost of going there not valid because these WhatNot influencer sellers are getting their expenses to go there covered by WhatNot.
  4. Marvels 0 submitted 124 and zero 9.9, Marvels 1 submitted 464 and one 9.9, Marvels 2 submitted 251 and zero 9.9, Marvels 3 submitted 332 and two 9.9, Marvels 4 submitted 359 and zero 9.9 and of course zero 10.0
  5. No worry Black Flag you can sell you're acetone "variants" in the Boston Fan Expo parking lot after Disney/Marvel will send a cease and desist letter to you. I would not be surprised that even then people would not stop buying that junk from a back of trunk.
  6. Nice video. Nothing wrong with this "variant" and nothing wrong with influencers, shops.. buying huge stacks of these. Everyone is just a hater Funny thou like mentioned here this all started from one exhibitor being mad that he did not get one even thou he was in the line before even VIP access opened. Does anybody care for the normal attendees?!? What is the point of buying VIP tickets to these conventions?!? Maybe there is some additional benefits but getting those low print exclusives definitely ain't one of those.
  7. I think that is a different person. That post was from CBSI Facebook page. In that Youtube video a person who did not know about that "variant" ends up buying two copies for increased price of 100$ per book and a 9.8 copy for 500$. That is that FOMO working its magic
  8. Really good movie. I would more categorize this in the same category than The Revenant In Predator rankings: Predator, this, Predator 2 and Predators. I still would like that someone makes this sequel to Predators thou.
  9. I think it is more realistic if they are asked to remove Batgirl from their IMDb profiles.
  10. Was In the Heights even out when they cast Leslie Grace? Well even if you're lead is martial arts master who has balls of Johnny Knoxville the studio will say NO to that risk of lead actor to get injured which delays the production of X months.
  11. Well that is sad if there is some truth to that but this is about WATA and graded video games market and not about racism. The Jobst video was good that it brought questions about WATA and Heritage to surface. Like that 2 million SMB was way cheaper before WATA. Then couple Heritage auctions and the price tenfolds every time. Heritage/WATA/high end dealers figured out that this could be something they could push to rich eccentric people who can give them a blank check. The otherside of the coin there is also people who might have different agendas to attack WATA/Heritage like hardcore NES collectors who are salty that their loose/not sealed CIB games are not those games that are selling for lot nowadays. Also the game collector scene is different from lets say VHS collectors. Many game collectors play their games and are pissed off that suddenly after WATA game prices have suddenly risen a lot. If a VHS tape for Star Wars sells for a lot who cares because you can just go to Disney+ and watch much better version of it or buy a 4K UHD-disc. VHS tape of SW is not the original film reel. Other example some comic book collectors like to send their comics for grading and others don't but no one is actually reading those valuable comics so a graded comic book does not offend anyone like a non sealed video game that is graded and off from gamer's hands.
  12. Also in the cover of the Mandalorian 2 concept variant reads Chapter 2: The Child.
  13. I think this thread has been sidetracked with all the talk about CL. -there was a listing of a book -seller accepted the offer -then decided to sell it somewhere else for more money (personal reasons probably were seller hates not getting the max dollars for his books) -then CL buyer got a message from CL that they did not have the book etc. The seller probably was used to Ebay's cancel sold listing culture where you say some BS reason for cancel and then sell it again. Now the platform was different and that caused this mess.
  14. Yes, and like you know if you read comics characters evolve over time. Wolverine 5'3 works as a hot headed/ sometimes comic relief character but Wolverine 5'9-6'3 works as a lead story character. I also thought that Taron was smaller. I think he will make okay Wolverine but of course the actual movie needs to be good..
  15. Yeah, there are some factors probably but the point was that you probably will make more money if you just sell it raw.
  16. He is too small. After Hugh Jackman Wolverine is at least 6,2 feet and only little bit smaller than Sabretooth who is his brother now. Wolverine in comics started to be a difficult character because his ridiculous size. Artists just started to make him more and more bulky because then he looked menacing.
  17. Here is one slabbing gone wrong example. If you look in Ebays sold items Bloodstone 1. There is two CGC 9.2 sold for like 210-220$ and one raw which is advertised as VF/NM which sold for 375$. Bloodstone 1 is a better candidate for slabbing than I dunno lets say 95% of comics that are slabbed but still if you are going to send it for grading then first send it to clean&press and for 9.8 pre-screen. There is no potential buyer who thinks that your raw copy will have restoration even if it looks NM. If the comic book would be from the 70s then maybe but from 2000s no.
  18. Nothing new under the sun. I would say most people who send stuff to grading are doing that because they believe it is part of this hobby.
  19. Finally watched this. I felt that there was three parts on this film. First the opening which felt like a normal Marvel movie, second the Illuminati part which was kinda bad and third part was that horror Raimi stuff. The horror part was great and Raimi really seemed to like what he was doing. That third part actually felt like a Dr Strange comic book. I hope Raimi directs the next film also and they just give him full control to do whatever monster/horror film he wants to do.
  20. Of course she was planning to take a revenge against Anakin.
  21. Last episode was bad but watchable. Obi-wan vs Vader was a great battle scene but now suddenly Obi-wan had his powers back?!? and he is really powerful. When he was under all that rubble I was like okay now Qui-gon Jinn will appear but no. Obi-wan just had some realization and became way stronger. If there would have been a scene where Obi-wan is fishing and Qui-gon appears suddenly in his boat saying damn I have missed fishing that would have been better scene which they came up with. Third sister story conclusion was a let down like everything with this show. Ewan McGregor is great Obi-wan and if they make a second season I hope that no one of this cast will return except McGregor.
  22. The fifth episode was really good I only had couple minor problems. First in flashback where Obi-wan and Anakin where practicing why did they not make Anakin look younger?!? and if they did not want to use money on that why it had to be master vs padawan rather than master vs jedi? Second Leias robot which had that imperial chip was "bad" and therefore had red "eyes" and when Leia fixed it those "eyes" turn to blue. That was campy stuff. All the other stuff was good and the third sister actually turned into a interesting character.
