    Probably no incentive. I mean I stopped using them because of stickers, shipping prices and the fact that they do not update their inventory, but as you say they seem to be surviving. Personally, I think comic link sucks, but that is just me.

    I had the same thing happen to me--kind of. I sold a book. Then, I could not find it. I contacted the buyer and refunded him. Buyer was super understanding!! I also told him it is his for $10 less when/if I found it. I found it 4 days later.

    Maybe try asking the guy to remove the negative feedback. He might be more reasonable now that he has calmed down. I received rage feedback once for a cracked slab. Contacted the guy, was nice, and had him remove the feedback.

    There is also a thread called "banned eBay users." A list of unattractive eBayers is kept there. It is mostly sellers keeping track of useless buyers.

    I have this amazing ability to due simple math in my head without much stress, so I am not going to eliminate a potential purchase source because the seller has decided to separate shipping from the cost of the book. I also know of way that eBay will order search results based on total price (ie. with shipping).

    This is true. It is not really a reliable indicator of anything fishy going on. However, the $520 leading bid is. Maybe, this is just a case of buy the label, and bidders don't know what 'infamous' means and did not bother looking at the back page picture . . . or maybe some spooners just have money to burn.
