  1. 15 counts of contempt? Man, the court REALLY lacked understanding…
  2. Is anyone else upset about his ex-girlfriend's lack of understanding?
  3. This might be the time to call the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. They obviously won’t charge him off of a phone call, but an investigator might get assigned who @Sauce Dog and @MattTheDuck can then work with to present the facts. With MD currently in custody, and especially in light of some of his current charges (interference, false info), they might be that much more willing to listen at this time.
  4. - new books are in hand and free of MEs.
  5. I believe this solution was floated to him in the locked thread and went nowhere.
  6. It’s downright sickening to think that MD might be in the wind with likely millions of dollars worth of other people’s books.
  7. Not a lawyer but recently stayed at a Holiday Inn. In light of Sauce dog’s latest post and coupled with all of MD’s exhortations that he was going out of business in the locked thread, while then taking on more business, Oregon’s theft by deception statute would seem likely to apply to the most recent victims. https://oregon.public.law/statutes/ors_164.085#
  8. I got to meet Steranko at Heroes Con last year, and after I introduced him to my now fiancée, he made sure to emphasize that I should never let her go. I 1000% agreed, and one daughter later, we're doing pretty darn good. Top 3 all time con interaction for me.
  9. I had some azhole pull this on me almost 20 years ago, and he stuffed all the books into some chit little box with six styrofoam peanuts for like $4.50 total shipping (I probably paid $30). Raws, so they were all ruined. Sadly, this was before eBay or PayPal had the robust buyer protections that are in place now, so all I could do was light up his feedback.
  10. Payment: In addition to PayPal, I will also accept check / money order / Zelle, though the book will be held until clearance (which is pretty much immediate with Zelle). Payment due within 5 business days. Shipping (domestic): Domestic shipping for graded books is included in the book price and will be by insured USPS priority. Shipping for raws (they get heavy quick, especially with how securely I pack them): 1-5 books - $4 (USPS ground), 6-14 books - $9.50 (USPS priority flat rate envelope), 15 and above - $17 (USPS priority flat rate medium box). Shipping (international) - For both graded and raw books, shipping will be at exact cost, minus the US shipping cost. Please inquire first for an accurate quote. Returns: No returns on CGC books as you know what you’re getting. Mechanical Errors: Since 6 of these books are being listed before I have them in hand, I will thoroughly look each over for any MEs. Should I find issues with a slab that has already been claimed, and the flaw is outside of the claimant's acceptable tolerance, I offer two options: - Claim on the book can be withdrawn, no questions asked. - Claim on the book can remain, but no payment will be due until the ME is satisfactorily addressed by CGC. On the HoS? Probation list? Or we have some other beef (on my ignore list, bad con interaction, etc.)? Don't bother. Can provide board references if needed (no name dropping here), and over 1700 positive eBay feedback as well -- https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=792mn. And I've got a fledgling kudos thread started (link is in my profile page). First posted in the thread wins a book outright (so don't PM it to me, a thread take it wins out regardless of time stamp). Offers always welcome. If it wasn't already clear from the inclusion of a Mechanical Errors policy, six of these books just shipped from CGC today (12/11), and I don't have them in hand yet. Feel free to claim away, but note that no payment will be due until the books are in my possession and cleared of any damage and/or glaring slab flaws.
  11. It’s Disney. There is no “there is no way.”
  12. The only time this will save his current or future lawyer(s) is to cut down on the time it takes to reach a plea agreement or out of court settlement, i.e. all work paid for is somehow completed or the victims get their books back as is.
  13. The LLC roulette that Hero’s is playing is a very important piece of the equation when working to show that this is a criminal rather than civil matter. Please emphasize this point as it shows how Hero’s is trying to evade liability with all these past misdeeds while committing new ones at the same time.
  14. At least you have an actual person on the other end of the line. You might could inquire if she would be able to serve as the point person for anyone else wishing to file a complaint with her agency. Even if asking nicely ultimately goes nowhere, it's one more step that all the victims can show of trying to resolve this matter outside of the criminal justice system. It only reflects badly on Hero's in the end, and she might even be able to refer you all to a specific law enforcement official with jurisdiction over this.
