  1. Buddy, ANY man made currency is "fiat". Dwell on that for a bit.
  2. This has a high probability of being true, though I do maintain a small lottery ticket in Ethereum and BitCon through Grayscale's publicly traded trusts (again, wouldn't trust those exchanges with my dog's name, much less all my PII). @uchiha101 - I assume you're using multiple exchanges to mitigate the risk of hacking? That in itself should tell you something.
  3. Sounds like you’re making it too difficult on yourself. Much easier to have all your holdings under one roof. Though admittedly I wouldn’t trust those crypto exchanges worth a .
  4. No, I mean watching the value of your holdings throughout the year. If you're only finding out at tax time how much you've gained or lost, then you're doing yourself a disservice.
  5. Why not stay on top of it yourself throughout the year?
  6. And you’ve lost how much in the CryptoCon arena on top of this?
  7. Another excellent example of why CVA is a total joke.
  8. I hear you, luckily the web makes it much easier to do background work, especially with a lot of types of memorabilia. I think we’ve all had our regretful purchase phase, the difference is if you own it and learn from it, or try to pass the buck onto someone else and keep making the same mistakes. The OP started this whole debacle with an impulse purchase, and I’d argue he hasn’t learned much since that time.
  9. Oh my yes. Especially when eBay is full of legit yellow labels to compare against.
  10. The seller is either incompetent or being outright deceitful. But the buyer is being negligent by not doing advanced homework on how to grade comics.
  11. You make a good point - the buyer of an obvious not mint sold as “MINT!!!” is not only at fault but also willfully negligent.
  12. Time for some rant therapy... perkpor_0 (zero feedback) -- Another Vengeance of Bane chump who can't read. My 9.4 third print gets an offer of $60, I counter at $89, we settle on $75. Almost immediately, the cancel request comes in with some messages: Newbie time waster -- "I thought it was 1st print never mind lol" NCTW -- "Sorry do you have the 1st print?" Me -- "Between the title, description, and photo, 3RD PRINT is mentioned four times. Learn to read. And yes, I do have a first print. Even if it was for sale, I wouldn't sell it to a deadbeat buyer for any price." NCTW -- "It was a honest mistake, you don't have to be rude. I honestly just started buying comic it's been almost 20 years." Me -- "Your resume means nothing to me. Go waste someone else's time." OK, done ranting. NCTW later added -- "I wish you the best but people make mistakes and hopefully you realize your unprofessionalism and how you acted was not right." I invited him here to share in our collective unprofessionalism for expecting buyers to honor their purchases. We'll see if he shows.
  13. If you purchase a book as "mint", and the provided photos clearly demonstrate that it has a dozen spine dings and two major color breaking creases, the fault lies with you as the buyer. Yeah, you'll get your money back for an "item not as described", but you've also wasted your time sending the money, getting the book, returning the book, then finally getting your money back. People, learn to grade.
  14. You think a smart thief would unslab, then re-slab those books?
  15. “We’ve discussed” this else”where” - Kirby’s style “of” dialogu”e” was heavily influenced by “Shatner”.
  16. It’s an “Exceptional” frayed corner Currently Victimizing Anyone
  17. If you know how to navigate the registry, you can answer your own question.
  18. So you’re pre-boarding a possible hype train. You answered your own question - not a first. You also didn’t say if it was 1982 or 1988 (or 2003, 2010, 2013) that you’re referring to. If you’re so up to speed, why do you keep asking us if purchase x was a good deal?
  19. I just checked out the website -- no guests posted for any show after Cleveland (3/8-3/10). That includes Philly and Chicago, and those normally have guest lists starting to form almost a year prior.
  20. Lame. I'll just make up my own story then. Utilizing your avatar...I'll guess that she lives in Ukraine, TASS reported her dead, but a few days later she showed back up on Skype perfectly alive.
  21. Wrong forum, post pics in the "Please grade my..." section once you receive the books. You'll get more opinions, and hopefully learn a few things about grading in the process.
