I'll be watching the first one. That fight scene at the end was so brutal.
Within a day or two, they’ll be paying people to come to the theaters to watch #3.

Flake and Cantina can't be the same person. They work together on a little thing called a wine mixer.
Perhaps you've heard of it? The Cantina Wine Mixer*?
Do you all even understand what that is?
It's the Cantina effing wine mixer!
POW!
It's the biggest comic book lawsuit event...in the western hemisphere...since 1997.
POW!
They have to sue, or settle, with at least 80 comic related companies there to make their nut.

Well anyway... I still think the issue at hand is Mike D., HeroRestoration and the theft of money, books and promised services that were never delivered. Been trying to be transparent on my end. When Zapped Moose9995 discovered that books were being sold by Mike that weren't his to sell, it was an eye-opener for me. Although the ebay user name was changed from BlueMoonAlways to geekbay_since_2003 I was able to find my book that had a completed sale and feedback indicating the buyer recieved it (completed transaction). So whether or not Flake / Cantina's intentions were good or bad is irrelevant. A lot of good has already come out of the new post. Once the old one was locked it became a dead end, and of course Mike / HR just packed everything up almost without a trace. Sorry if I'm being overly dramatic, but this whole situation sucks.
All I’d say is don’t start advancing CantinaFlake any money for “legal fees”.

I doubt the Lebanon PD will do a thing either, as evidenced by the people who have called and nothing has happened.
Show of hands - who has called Lebanon PD and been told nothing can be done?

I don't think reporting this to the police will do anything.
Last year my son's band had their van stolen in Portland and the police did nothing. I mean literally NOTHING.
The van had an Airtag, so he could follow where it was going. They called the police numerous times and reported it stolen, with its current location, but never got a call back from an officer. After a few hours of calling, someone from the police let them know that they couldn't do anything, that it wasn't an emergency, and that he should consider the van gone and report it to his insurance.
I suspect that's the answer the Portland police will give you, if they ever actually respond to the complaint.
In the end, my son's band and another group on tour with them grabbed baseball bats, tracked the van down and stole it back from some meth heads.
If Mike had any of my books and refused to return them I'd hire a "Private Investigator" to go retrieve them.
This might be more relevant if Mike was actually in Portland. I doubt Portland PD will be fielding calls for Lebanon, OR.

This could be worse than Rise of Skywalker. Does Neeson have a bookie to pay back or something?

@Sauce Dog are you able to share which police department the “theft” was reported to? Because Mike’s victims should make a phone call to report which of their books he had at that time, or are confirmed sold on eBay. While there’s certainly a not zero chance that he just got drunk one night and told the wrong person how much “cool stuff” he has and where to find it, there’s also a very not zero chance that he’s telling the PD that customer books he previously sold on eBay were stolen that night.

No, that's not what he's saying. He's saying that Mike probably has returned some books to stave off potential legal action but he knows others are not taking action. And there's still a lot of us out here with no resolution. Rather than battling each other, let's focus on Mike, and the people out tens of thousands of dollars, or more. Keep your eye on the ball.
You and I have very different definitions of “nothing”. You should be Cantina’s pr rep.

Guys ok, I think we all know a couple things 1) Mike and/or his friends are in this chat and faking posts 2) nothing is happening he still have lots of books including mine. I would again ask that we combine forces to try to get a resolution. I think anyone with a book that matters have found out that this will be an expensive endeavor and take time (300-500/hr for a lawyer is a lot). So I would implore you to DM me your email and lets join forces to get our books back. I know you are afraid because you think I am a Mike plant, but even if I was what would you have to lose? After I get your email lets do a Zoom and speak face to face. I've already spoke to a lawyer and he said that his legal costs will be as much or greater than the book and Mike knows that so unless we join forces we all will all can do the math or time and money and think its pointless. I'm ready if you are. And if you are a Mike plant, I fully expect some email bashing this post or talking about what a hard time Mike has had, but guys don't listen to it and don't be scared. Focus on getting together to get back our books.
So you’re saying that you believe EVERYONE who has come to this thread and confirmed they received their books back is lying? Including several long time members with seemingly no reason to lie and cover for Mike?

You mean photos that Mike submits?
I mean whoever is behind these two February 17th accounts. Could be Mike. Could be the CIA. Could be anyone in between. Let's watch it play out.

Just to clarify. I sent in 2 separate submissions. I was told that one was pressed and the other was dry cleaned. I was also told that my books will be shipped out this week. I’ll provide updates as I get them and let everyone know once I receive my books.
Please post photos if and when you do get them back.

thanks again
So the books you're getting back were pressed and cleaned, but Mike couldn't bother sending them to CGC at any point in the past year and a half? Sorry, I don't buy this at face value.

Marvel has gotten as trite as the Terminator. “We’ll just invent a new timeline to replace the last timeline!” Yawn.
But hey, I’m 41 with a growing family, make me money on my books Marvel!

Any other victims please file a complaint with the USPS postal inspectors. They deal with Mail fraud, Cybercrime etc. as the books and payments were shipped across state lines by the postal service. I believe Mike also used the internet to steel or defraud. I was told this fits into their jurisdiction.
Mike needs professional help and Jail time. Hopefully he can be cell mates with the tossed Salad Man.
Thanks for everyone’s help support and understanding.
I think we would all love to hear your justification for holding this man’s book HOSTAGE for 14 years, and then returning it in worse shape than you received it. Did the chickens eat your equipment? The ex’s dog ate your hands? Or are you just a conniving predator that took advantage of dozens of people who trusted you? Nah, can’t be that, you’re the victim, right?
In light of all that’s been revealed, your reported substance abuse issues actually make a lot of sense as they are probably the only way you can look at yourself in the mirror without falling violently ill.
You may have started out with the best of intentions in your business, but whether a court ultimately says it or not, you willfully turned it into a criminal enterprise, and you preyed on a community built largely on trust, and you stole, and you stole, and you stole.
I like to think that no person is beyond redemption, and maybe you’ll one day find yours, but on February 13, 2024, you’re an awful human being. There’s no other way I’d put it.
