These comics may becoming all the more intriguing, due to the upcoming film adaption.
-
Only CBCS regards it as such ~

Exactly :3
Amethyst is Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Shazam and Superman wrapped up into one.
-
Black Canary/Oracle: Birds of Prey #1 has a cover date of 1996, but it was released on November 21, 1995 (and has mention of that in the book which I have).
Stop trying to make Amethyst happen. It's never going to happen.
It'll happen
-
Showcase 96 #3 is the 1st appearance and it has been on people's radars for some time now.
Showcase 96 #3 was released in 1996, whereas Black Canary/Oracle: Birds of Prey #1 was released in 1995; ergo, it's the first appearance.

We know that Warner Bros. are interested in bringing the Birds of Prey team into the DC Extended Universe, but I'm wondering will that do good for the actual comic Black Canary/Oracle: Birds of Prey #1, which so happens to be the first appearance of the team in question.
In part the thread's about the issue of Black Canary/Oracle: Birds of Prey #1 in general, and whether or not it would increase in value and desire if such an announcement was made; given the age of the comic and the fact that DC seems rather focus on it's women-based adaptions too, starting with Wonder Woman, and among one of the reasons I believe they'll be working on an Amethyst adaption at some point.
I mean it's a 1995 based comic with a great deal of potential; especially with how The Batman Adventures #12 increased dramatically.
What do you think?
All comments are welcomed.

I've got around 21 copies now

In April, I paid $63.88 for Man of Steel #17, 18 and 19 in NM ~
#17 in 2nd print and #19 was signed by Mike Carlin, I believe (albeit no certificate).
Was this a good buy?

I don't think this is going to ride any magical coat tails, it will ride DC universe coat tails and maybe have a movie to cater to girls (like the gem and the holograms) that their brothers can stand watching too. with that said, why would it need to be a live action movie?
Well because thats why the DC Extended Universe are focusing on now; plus it'd be an excuse for DC to heavily delve into the Magical universe; similar as to how Marvel are delving into the supernatural aspects with Dr Strange ~
Suicide Squad: Enchantress
Dark Universe: Constantine
Dark Universe: Zatanna
Dark Universe: Madame Xanadu (rumored)
Dark Universe: Phantom Stranger (rumored)
Dark Universe: Sargon the Sorcerer (rumored)
Dark Universe: Zatara (rumored)
The only reason I feel Amethyst is a true possibility is if a Legion of Super-Heroes film is announced; to which it was rumored, then you'd have to introduce Mordru at some point with a Legion of Super-Heroes film, then you'd most likely have to bring in the element of Gemworld which falls back to Amethyst.
This is one of the reasons I'm totally sure they'd explore Amethyst at some point ~
Just wait till Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ends.
-
Haha but worth it
-
Omg how was that auction so low, Aweandlorder?
-
Seriously how is Captain Marvel #17, even in 9.8 so expensive?
-
Thanks everyone :3
-
What exactly makes the 2nd print of Captain Marvel #17 so expensive?
-
Woah amazing
-
-
I just can't see Warner Bros. not wishing to continue with the magical-nature of things after the release of the third Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film ~
-
Awww awesome thanks ~
But I dont think I can this time tbh, but maybe next time definitely; but am I able to send the comic to them instead without attending? :3
-
Aww thanks
But what if an event is in the USA? Are there any others who provide that service? Seriously many thanks, Batman!
-
Oh my that's amazing!
Thanks, Batman! But wait, what's stopping them from just taking a really valuable book and not giving it back?
-
Why thanks haha ~
And he is? Well I'm from the UK so I'm not sure how I'd even start getting them SS'd, Batman ~
-
I'm not entirely sure Batman ~
I've not received the comic as yet haha
-
I was wondering what grade do you think this is? All comments are very much appreciated ~
Many thanks to all
-
It's alright ^_^
True, but given Zatanna's importance within JLD it'd be unrealistic for her not to be included ~
And there's the rumored Legion of Super Heroes adaption; Mordru not being the ultimate villain too would be rather large missed opportunity.
Books you just cant find in the Wild
in Modern Age Comic Books

Apparently Warrior #1 (1st appearance of V) is super rare, albeit I managed to get it for £5 pounds in 2007
