  1. I totally agree. It is like I've seen it before but where I just don't know..
  2. Thanks for checking. Might have to delve into the twitter-sphere.
  3. That is what I was thinking but looked all over the internet (google) and couldn't find this image anywhere. Thanks
  4. Tried to contact him and Tom Palmer on facebook but got no response. Thanks
  5. Checked it out with no such luck. But that was a great suggestion. Many thanks, Brian.
  6. Hope someone can help me identify if this Beast page was published. It measures 9.5 X 13.5. It is penciled by RON LIM and I believe inked by TOM PALMER. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
  7. You have an incredible eye. What an amazing piece of CON history. SO cool and thanks for posting.
  8. Congratulations on getting your art back.. I love happy endings.
  9. Any idea why this auction is HOT?? and why is it $541.? https://www.ebay.com/itm/113623731525 Titled : LOADSTAR 5 minute sketch. The hero of the alt-right movement. 8.5x11 copy paper
  10. The result was astronimical. But how would you be able to identify a shill bidder. It's not like ebay where you can see the bidders feedback and kind of tell you may/may not be shilling. Comiclink is anonymous, so wouldn't a shill bidder be terrified of winning a $5000+ page that they don't want. Seems weird to me. What do you think?
  11. Didn't realize that he was now selling copies of the originals. Thought that the pieces were sent back. Still something is so odd with the bordered marvel universe. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
  12. Looks too messy to be a prelim, I think. Definitely NOT Romita JR.!!
  13. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-25th-Anniversary-Sketch-John-Romita-Spiderman-Artist/254056433364?hash=item3b26f186d4:g:ghYAAOSwWrxcMsBU Its back! Now listed with... "(This is a copy of the original sketch " in the description... And the PUNISHER, too... https://www.ebay.com/itm/John-Romita-Sr-art-signed-Punisher-Spider-Man-villian/264122199812?hash=item3d7ee8ef04:g:xtMAAOSwXedcMr5y:rk:36:pf:0
  14. Now $560 with 13 minutes or so.. What a shame.. Reported it but it has not been taken down...
  15. On eBay right now, couldn't work the link.. And it is up to 305.!!?!?!?!?! WHAT!!!
  16. https://www.ebay.com/itm/264091234074 This looks fake to me... Doesn't look anything like the original.. Appears to be like a child drew it.. What do you think??
  17. True. But you have to admit that PG. 16 for 2175 (all fighting) was a better deal. But not really because it was over 2K. I went back on eBay and checked out some of the prices on recent DET 526 pages. Last page that ended PG 15 went for 3.3K, PG 16 went for 2175, PG 20 - went for 2080, PG 24 - 1325 (reasonable compared to the last few) and PG 25 for 1580. That is like a total of 10.4K for 5 pages, you get to admit there is a level of CRAZINESS for a copper age issue. Not sure if you are bidding on these few but when you look at it from here, doesn't it seem a bit much. I love to collect art but when you are closing at crazy numbers, it is tough to even get one. I suppose if you are happy to have a piece(s) of art that means so much to you, it is well worth it. But I just can't convince myself. Anyways, happy collecting.
  18. I can understand wanting pages from this story but you have to admit the bidding has become a bit absurd. And you are not the only bidder, someone is driving the prices to total insanity. I have bid on a bunch of them, but at 2500-3000, you are looking at getting caught up in the moment and $$$$ that you will never see again. I guess nostalgia is priceless. I GUESS?
  19. INSANITY AND DEEP POCKETS!!! or someone cashed in their 401K. I was lucky enough to snag one from this story before you had to mortgage the house to get a page. I believe Don Newton lived in AZ, so I figured it might a family member/close friend/local collector who was able to get whole issues and consign, including the super awesome DET 526. With more pages listed every second day, let the madness continue...
  20. Very cool Miller/Janson BW page on CLINK. Thinking about bidding. Isn't she lovely? http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions_first.asp&id=1236196
  21. I understand but I was referring to the fact that it appears different then the one that was sold on eBay. Was wondering if you agree that the listing looked like production stat not original. While the CLINK listing is original art. What do you think?
