  1. I was only joking and emotionally distraught that Claudio called me Larry. Still it's a nice copy.
  2. That is a sweet mid-grade copy, Jack. I sense a bidding war in the brewing.
  3. Just had a look and they're only posting to the UK. Sorry. If you decide what to do with your undercopies, please let me know. You know I love a bit of lowish grade FF!
  4. Thanks, Claudio. There's a CGC 8.0 #36 up on ebay here in England. I may pull the trigger on it as it's the only gap I have between 31 & 44 but I have my limits. Your copy is super nice btw.
  5. Excuse my ignorance but why is #36 so pricey? Just because it's the first Medusa/Frightful Four? Or is there some sort of speculator bubble going on with this issue?
  6. Got some amazing Amazing Spidey's, shipped all the way to England in perfect condition. Solar Boy made my first transaction here an easy & enjoyable experience. Thank you very much, sir!
  7. ne excuses - I want a copy on my desk by noon tomorrow Parker! Funnily enough I did pick up 2 nice key issues involving that name today but that's for another thread. Things have been pretty quiet on the FF front here in Blighty. Still looking for early FF's (in pretty much any condition) 48 & 49 as well. I did spot a nice pence copy of #29 the other day which I'm keeping an eye on. 45 & 52 are out of my league and 46 never seems to be available. Still it's given me a chance to catch up on some reading and I've been thoroughly enjoying the #38-44 story arc. Great stuff!
  8. I have 53-64 but I'm missing 60. It's just one of those books which I never seem to find a nice enough looking copy (ironic, I know) or if I do the price is just way too steep.
  9. Gorgeous #23 and one of my favourite FF covers.
  10. That #1 Annual is a sweet book. I'd love to get one of those. Congrats, ental!
  11. An English #29. One of the first comics I bought (second-hand).
  12. Recent pick-ups. A rather nice #44 and, an issue I've been after for a while as I love the cover, #110 The FF110 also has quite the story to it. I'd been watching it on e-bay (auction 10 days) when I noticed that it and a load of other late SA/early BA FF's were suddenly made not available by the seller (the same seller I had purchased the FF#7 from a couple of pages back). I sent a rather cheeky (in my mind) PM asking why he had taken them all down. Apparently, because no one had bid on them with a couple of days to go he didn't want the hassle of sending lots of comics out for only a £1 etc and was going to throw them away!!!!! I said, please don't them throw away I will take them all for a £1 each, most of them were only worth that (pence copies and fairly low grade judging by the pics supplied) but a few were worth more, like the #110 and I offered £5 for that. He had to wait because he'd gone over his earnings limit, mainly down to the selling of a very low grade, pence FF#1 for just under a grand. When he could sell again he contacted me and said the #110 was up as a BIN so I bought it now. I then asked about the others and repeated my offer. He sent me a rather confusing reply about 'moral commitments to my customers' which frankly I didn't understand and just replied 'ok, then. Thanks' and left it at that. The next day he sent a message which absolutely astounded me. He had sent all the comics I wanted (43 in total) for nothing!!!!! I, obviously, thanked him profusely and once again offered to pay £1 apiece. No, he replied. He wouldn't even let me pay for the P&P! Then left a very nice feedback message. None of the issues were key and nearly all were pence copies but still filled in a massive hole in my run, especially #94-120 and I was very pleasantly surprised that the condition in hand for many of them was a lot better than I thought going by the pictures. What a stand-out guy, easily the most generous person I've had the pleasure of dealing with in the comic book world. FF fans truly are the best fans in the world.
  13. mines better!!! - jus kiddin straw has some very nice books I wouldn't mind owning I'm certain your man-cave is also par-excellence! Everybody here has much nicer books than me. I'm just putting my runs together. I got the thought (about book stores) whilst flipping through my FF short boxes and thinking "I'd love to see this in my local comic book store". The stores in East Kent certainly leave a lot to be desired when it comes to the Silver/Bronze Age.
  14. Straw-Man, your man-cave must be like the best comic book shop in the world.
  15. Oh, I love that #13. For a mid-grade it's kept it's colours really well. I think that and #4 are my favourite early FF stories.
  16. Lovely copy again, mar-vell. One day I'll own a #48 but so far I've not seen a copy that would entice me to spill the big bucks.
  17. Great raw books, mar-vell. That #22 is especially nice!
  18. Wow! That is an amazing #1. Very nice for a FN-. Congratulations. So psyched at my latest addition to the FF run. My earliest, my only circle 12c, and in surprisingly good condition for the low price it went for. So happy, I'm going to do the banana dance. What's weird is that the same guy I bought it from had a lot of low-grade, early, pence FF's, finishing at the same time. I was watching them all and considering bids but the prices just went through the roof. Way over what I would pay for pence copies. This #7 was the only cent copy and went for a song. , the weirdness of auctions.
  19. Pffft. I don't see any low-grade pence copies, I'll pass.
  20. Thanks, Jack. I do have some nice FF's as well. None in slabs as I only buy raw but aside from a couple of SA most would be Bronze so I'm a bit hesitant to post them here.
  21. And the Lime collection of fantastically low grade pence copies of early(ish) Fantastic Four's continues to grow.
  22. That's a great looking book, Jack! I think #6 must be one of the rarest copies in the UK. I've never seen one for sale although to be fair I've only been looking for a year.
  23. Yes, it's the ad immediately following story page 18. Is there a significance to that? I knew I wasn't missing a story page, I read it yesterday and the story pages are always numbered. I thought it might have been a pin-up as my #33 is missing the Namor one (grrrrr!).
  24. Quick question: Has FF#32 got a pin-up? My copy appears to have a page cut out and I'm not sure if it's an advert or not.
