  1. Roy, I'll be looking to land a mid-grade copy of Hulk #1 about this time next year so feel free to keep the market calm until then. Thanks.
  2. Our go-to store is Duncanville Bookstore. My son and I try to make the drive from Fort Worth once or twice a month.
  3. As far as I know they weren't. I grabbed them over a couple of visits in a 2-3 month period. One of the few shops in the DFW metroplex that still has a great selection of SA books.
  4. A few grabs from the LCS over the summer, submitted at Wizard Chicago--just back in the mail today!
  5. I'll add my thoughts as strictly a buyer and collector. This past Wizard Chicago was the first "big" con that I attended since getting back into the hobby about three years ago. Until August I'd mostly just frequented the smaller shows in the DFW area and the April Indianapolis show. My main take away from the show, was that it reinforced my established buying habits. 90% of my comic budget went to the same dealers whom I either buy from here on the boards or off of their websites. I met one dealer that I only knew previously from their eBay presence, had a great conversation--and ended up buying a GA Timely that I originally had no plan to go after prior to the weekend. Interestingly enough, the main comic on my want list going into the show I turned down as the customer service of the company selling it was so poor. I enjoyed the trip quite a bit from a social angle--the board members' dinner and seeing some great books first hand, but I know I'm looking forward to some of the other mentioned shows this coming year: Seattle and Baltimore based on their reputations.
  6. The date stamp was a plus. I grabbed a nice TTA #35 earlier this year in Chicago with a similar presentation stamp-wise. It's a nice theme for the run so far.
  7. A 9.4/9.6 Avengers #16. I keep missing the recent auctions, and the asking price for one that's been on the market most of this year is a little too inflated for what I'm looking to pay.
  8. Grabbed one this evening getting a jump on Christmas shopping for my son:
  9. One of the nicest 9.0's I've seen. Great looking book!
  10. Just say it was @Batmanderson's idea for the trade, that'll smooth things over!
  11. The auction book listings do get migrated over to the limbo of the exchange list. As an example, I won the 9.2 Tales to Astonish #47 in the June 2017 Clink auction, and as of five minutes ago--it's still listed as "Sale pending".
  12. The nice thing about Worldwide is that under their advanced search function, there's a For Sale Only tab that clears those particular books from the listings. Whereas for Clink, the same book that I won at auction two years ago that was either: lost in the facility, sent to someone else, or never sent in by the seller (the excuse kept changing) has been listed ever since I won the auction. The replacement book that I won at the next auction, just recently dropped off the exchange after 18 months.
  13. Nice grabs for a good cause. In hindsight I wonder if the real reason Jameson was upset was not because his son was Man-Wolf, but rather the yellow romper his son was sporting.
  14. Some nice early Hulks to drool over, but other than that nothing that's jumping out on this one on my end.
