  1. Thanks. He was very interesting to meet.

The books have always been special to me. Before The Crow was published I had a friend who was American Indian. The day she died in a vehicle crash she kept seeing crows. She commented that it wasn't a good omen. Someone was going to die. We didn't know it would be her later that day. That has always haunted me.

When I asked about the new movie he said that it would not be a reboot of the first movie. He said that the new movie would be very much what you saw in the original story in the books.

  2. Next guy that tells me to be sure to pack the book well so it dont get damaged in shipping......I'm blocking.

You'd block me then. I let ever seller I purchase something off eBay know that. I think our postman takes great joy in bending and/or crushing any packs that has "Do not bend" written on it. If it doesn't get extra cardboard inside they ALWAYS arrive bent. My way of heading the issue off so the seller gets a heads-up on my situation. Would you rather I not say anything and have to return the book or original art?

Time for you to address your problem. A call to the supervisor or open a PO box.

You've never had an issue with a letter carrier. Our carrier has enough seniority that he is untouchable in their system. The Supervisor advised me of that.

  4. Hi everyone,

I am a new member of this site.

I do not know if this is the right thread, but I would like to get more detailed information about an original drawing by Greg Capullo.

I've got an original comic strip of Violator # 3 (Image Comics 1994) penciled by Capullo and inked by Mark Pennington, of which I need to figure out what value could have, in case i decide to sell it. It's an inside page, depicting Spawn, WildCATS (?) and Mr. Twistelli.

Measures of the sheet are approximately 11"x17" .

I've got some pics to post if it helps.

Thanks in advance for your help.

What is the page number? Picture of the page would help.

    Great books and presentation. :applause:

Is that frame a custom piece? Would you mind providing more details on it (either here or via PM).

Most of my stuff is custom. The framer didn't like doing the boxes he build into the back of the frames to hold the CGC comics. They are built so I can swap them out if I want to. He liked the finished work. It just took him several attempts to get it the way he wanted them. Now they are finished he wouldn't mind doing them again as he knows the road to get them out quickly. These are in a spare bedroom:

Oh, and most of my framed stuff has something cut into the mat under the item framed like these:

  6. I prefer Finch though his cover is over 4 times the price of this one.

Yes it is and I assume if Finch wasn't repped by Spencer then his cover would have been a lot more affordable. I think his move to have Spencer rep him has signalled the end of the attainable for the average person Finch cover.

Finch was represented by spencer for quite a while, and then decided to sell his own artwork around 2009, I had purchased several covers during the time he was with spencer. The prices were higher after he left. If they are higher now I wouldn't say it has anything to do with spencer and more to do with finch's career arc taking his prices up or finch deciding he wants more for his work.

I agree. I purchased my Finch Batman page from Spencer. Only way I could get a page that I wanted. I thought the price was VERY fair. Matter of fact, I thought I got a pretty good deal on it. Spencer is very easy to deal with.

  7. Why can't we have a embossed or foil cover instead? Or bag the thing with a random variant...

I personally prefer the holograms lol.

Man, both blast from the 90's past. I want the richness of a chromium cover. Just saying the word in my head is making me want to run and open up my comic book box it is stored in and pull out that copy of Ninjak 1. :roflmao:

Gotta love how well chromium showed finger prints off.
