So what do we think the CPV market is gonna do this year? Prediction are only the super-high grade books will sell well. No love for lower grade ones for real? I still wouldn't mind trying to get a full set of MArvel and DC at any grade (and for cheap!) just as a task. Plus I have the most expensive ones already anyway
I think prices are settling down as more collectors have already picked up the books they want. Lots of dealers are sitting on their CPVs too which should lower prices if they bring them to market. I am trying to put together a set of Marvel and DC in VF or better. Right now I am about 60-70 short of the set (there are a few listed on the CPV website that I don't think exist in the wild)...

Nice. #1 CPV mag on the cpv price guide! Can't see the back but looks like a possible 9.4???
There is a bit of a scratch on the back cover so I have it graded as a 9.0. It is really nice in hand, though!

Strange Tales Annual 1, 2 and Millie Annual 1
Still have 20 or so STA 1's, about 40-50 #2's, and maybe 10 MA 1's. Happy to hang on to them - still think the STA #2 is underappreciated. Luckily when I sold my collection a couple of years back the buyer didn't want all those copies...

For the 1995 (volume 2) series, I can confirm #1,#2, and #5 exist with newsstand versions. I'm not aware of any of the other issues as newsies. In particular, I really don't expect #4 in newsstand, since some combination of the polybag/unbagged split probably was used in that way.
Thanks!

Greetings all,
I have been slowly accumulating copper and modern newsstand editions, mostly from the dollar bins, including some Image books. Most are fairly easy to find, and I appreciate this site as a source of information. As per some earlier thread discussion, I was under the impression that there were no Youngblood newsstand editions but last week I found two at a used book store (volume 2, numbers 2 and 5). I have included a picture of #2 below and would be interested to know if anyone else has had any luck finding the other issues...Dan

I'm 35 - got more silver than golden, but would buy more if I had more $$$. I do have a Captain Marvel Jr. #1, and a FC #29 but not much else other than ducks. I got my first GA books when I was about 12 when a neighbor gave me a box of comics, including a Great Expectations Classic Comics and a Blonde Phantom #17...

The books I need are mostly random titles. I can get virtually all of them on ebay but some of the prices are too high for me. As for the others, I think there are some that simply don't exist, period. For example, Angel Love #1-8, Zatanna Special 1 (this one is tricky because the regular newsstand has a $2 cover price), Fraggle Rock 8, Hawkman 16 and 17, and Blue Beetle 22 and 23...
