  3. There seemed to a lot of mid-grade copies hitting the market so I decided to sell before prices fell. I can get a VG reading copy for a fraction of the price.
  4. Shoot, just come here to see what I do next: http://slackjaw.maxforum.org/ Thongs... Almost joined 10 seconds ago, but I have alot on my mind this weekend. I want to start off running with "ideas" I had for the WDC. I was gradually coming back around there too. It was my Saturday Night Live for chatboards, as I was a "Not Ready For CGC Board Posting Player" at one time. I recommend others on here to join up too. We have some good times here and there. I met alot of "new" people at the original blog with similar interests in Moderns and movies. I read proboards' Section 25a. Basically it says they can suspend a forum for any time for any reason. RIP WDC.
  5. Anybody see this? http://comics.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=7030&Lot_No=92088 Feldstein story from War Against Crime #10.
  6. I lost my father three years ago. Was reading through Wilson by Dan Clowes recently and this struck a cord with me. http://hoodedutilitarian.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Wilson-09.jpg
  7. Former member. I'll pick up a nice reading copy again at some point.
  8. No. Everybody knows comics is worth crazy money these days. http://www.examiner.com/social-policy-in-vancouver/comic-fan-sacrificing-250k-spider-man-collection http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20110219/bc_spider_man_collection_110219/20110219?hub=BritishColumbiaHome
  9. Alan?! You mean Great Allen. Just read issue #77 today. Not sure how this is gonna pan out.
  10. (thumbs u I used to own the Williamsport CSS #23 (also an 8.0). Bought it from Jack Juka, whom I believe discovered the collection.
  11. I loved Lego kits. Never a boring moment. Before Christmas, my wife was chastising me because I couldn't come up with any gift ideas for myself. I jokingly told her she could buy me legos. The eye rolling and sarcastic comments followed, but as I'm opening my gifts on Christmas morning, what do I get? A Star Wars lego set. My son discovered my chest of Legos (from my childhood) not long ago. Now, the whole family plays with Legos on the weekend. My wife made a Lego laptop last Sunday. Further confirmation that I married the right woman.
  12. Still have mine. Sweet. Showed it to my son, who just laughed. Still have mine. It's probably in my mom's attic. Amazing how little it took to entertain us back then.
  13. Evel Knievel stunt cycle (as featured on the back cover of some Marvel comics).
  14. I am soo tired of slave Leia. Happy New Year to the post count thread regulars.
  15. The Walking Dead? Is that still going on? I thought it was just a TV series at this point.
