  1. In a weak moment a few years back I let my Star Wars 1-107 run plus annuals go on eBay. Most of those issues were my spinner rack picks as a youngster. Seeing so many vol 1 Star Wars comics in Baltimore this weekend brought back feelings of regret. ? There were some really nice #1's.
  2. I have a few Boba Fetts packed and ready for onsite grading at Baltimore Con today but I'm rethinking it. I really did not foresee this kind of free fall. I decided to take two of the Boba Fett Sketch Covers to Bmore. I ordered 11 total with 8 looking to me to be like really nice copies. I could not see any differences in those 8 copies so just grabbed these two from the top of the pile. CGC Staffers were very pleasant and great to deal with. My first ever submissions and I'm an On Site Grading fan!!! Curtis
  3. Fresh from On Site Grading at Baltimore Comic Con, my first ever submissions. Was hoping for a little better than a 7.5 on the ASM 238 but the 9.8 on the ASM 252 more than made up for it! Both were spinner rack purchases by me as a kid. Guess I read the 238 too many times. The other grades were on par with what I expected. CGC Staff at booth 707 were awesome! I got the same level of service and attention as the guys dropping off short boxes. Curtis

  5. Once the Jawa Cover is out, it will make a good stopping point for those just wanting the original 12 backs. There are still plenty of key characters I'd like to see so for now I'm still on board. I would not be as interested in the characters from the animated series from the Disney Channel shows though. After my three 12 back sets are complete I will probably just go to single copies rather than three copies. They are going to continue to churn these out (both Star Wars and Non Star Wars) as long as they sell so I see no end in sight unless interest drops after the movie release.
  6. I have been putting together three complete sets of the color versions of the Star Wars Action Figure Covers. Curious to see how many sets other members are building and who has the most. Anyone putting together a complete set stabbed? That could get pretty pricey if JTC keeps churning these out with no end in sight!
  7. Why slab it when you can sell it to me? I think the price has held steady for a 9.8 around $500-$600 range for the luke. But it's much harder to find than the BF. So if you won't sell it to me, I'd slab it (thumbs u No one knows when the next B & W will appear, could be in Nov, could be in Dec and it could be OB1 Jerome There is a raw copy listed on eBay now. The BIN price is steep but it's a Best Offer listing.
  8. I have a single copy of the B&W Luke Skywalker Action Figure Cover from C2E2 that is a strong 9.8 candidate. Wanted some opinions as to whether or not to slab it. What are thoughts on the potential of this issue as the December Star Wars movie approaches? Has value peaked or could it see another spike? Seeing as the B&W Boba Fett has tanked is it better to slab the potential 9.8s, hold on to them raw until December, or cut and run? Will there be an action figure cover with issue #1 of the new Darth Vader title coming in November? Thanks!
  9. eBay seems to be flooded with high grade "in hand" copies (enough to be driving the price down). Some out there are getting damage free shipments.
  10. I just received mine today and when I saw how beat up the Priority Envelope was, I expected the worst. To my surprise 10 of the 11 books are in great condition. One had the very slightest of corner dings and that was most likely done from earlier handling and not during the shipping. I really feel bad for those who have posted and were not so lucky. The next step is to pick out 2 or 3 of the best copies for on site grading at Baltimore Comic Con. What forum could I check out for tips on doing my own pre-screening? I want to pick out the copies with best potential for a high grade but I do not really know what the graders look for other than the obvious. Any suggestions are much appreciated!
  11. I wonder what a full set could go for? I'd guess less than if they were broken up and sold during the high point for each cover, yet that's come and gone for a few. Come movie time I think most collectors would already have the ones they want the most and with a few more to come before the movie the previous covers will dip a bit by then. Just my opinion. Do you think the C2E2 B&W Luke Sketch cover has already peaked?
  12. Hopefully there are no shipping delays. I plan on taking mine to the Baltimore Comic Con in September for the on site grading.
