  3. Click here for the Listing I've added antother sketchbook as well as the link to this post down below This is a really beautiful piece. It is I think one of his best sketchbook covers. There was talk of making a book of all the best sketchbooks he has done and this would no doubt make it in that book. Thanks for checking it out. Claire and Friend If someone were interested in buying both I'd be willing to throw in for free the inked sketch of the man with the razor talons himself, John Jaspers
  4. CLICK HERE! I have put up for sale a Beautiful SS Caliber Presents # 1 signed by TimVigil and James O Barr. I really hate to part with this but ....
  5. Very sound advice, RMA. I will probably take the return next time. It was on Ebay but I think he ended it. I tried to to look it up again shortly after and I could not find it, but I diid use it as evidence since I saved the pic.
  6. I hope I'm doing this right but I wanted to announce a couple of pieces I recently put up on Ebay . These are beautiful pieces done by the Godfather of Horror himself Tim Vigil. I hate to part with these but I must. links here https://www.ebay.com/itm/233139313988 and here https://www.ebay.com/itm/233139324708. Thanks for looking!
  7. Thanks for the replies all. I was just about done with PayPal and Ebay when this happened to me but I'd like to give those interested and update. So, I sold the comic book, a CGC Signature Series Killing Joke signed by Brian Bolland, to an Ebay customer. I purchased the book from Lone Star Comics and I had no doubt to its authenticity coming from them. So I shipped the book and then a couple weeks later buyer asks for a refund claiming a friend of his says its a fake. I politely refuse since I had posted the cert # and listed the book as non returnable. He opens a case with PayPal with this evidence, see pic 1. The holographic sticker that CGC used previously to authenticate books was the older one. Out of curiousity, I checked what the buyer was selling and lo and behold I find him selling a book with, you guessed it, the very same holograph. pic 2. So in other words he knew what he was claiming was a bunch of BS. The item was quickly deleted though and buyer went ahead and he made a claim with his financial institution. Soon after, the money gets withdrawn from my PayPal account until they get a chance to review the case. This is beyond frustrating. However I am happy to report that the buyers financial institution also decided in my favor. After 4-6 long weeks. What it boiled down to was, in my opinion, buyers remorse and it is disheartening to see or think that people get away with this kind of theft by gaming the system. I know this guy had done his homework and knew what to say in order to get the decision sided in his favor but he lost, woot! Buyers name was : dwightfactor just fyi be cautious if this guy wants buy a book off you.
  8. If so, how did you deal with it? I am currently going through this process and would like some advice if anyone can spare it. I sold a CGC Signature series comic book back in Aug. The buyer receives book, provides positive feedback then a few days later asks for a refund. Since it is a CGC book with a verifiable number to check the validity of the book, my listing did not offer a refund on this item. Buyer then opens a case with PayPal and loses. He then proceeds to open one with his financial institution. How have you dealt with this? Is it to late once they have taken the money from my PayPal acct? Or do I still have a chance that PayPal will win this dispute for me with this guy? Anyone?

  10. nice book. Was there any spine damage at all on this? I'm asking 'cause this one another 9.8 obviously has spine stress on the top right by the word comic. Just trying to see if CGC is giving some leeway on these due to the horrendous polybag process.
  11. When I bought #1, all the copies on the shelves had spine stress, mainly in the center of the spine. I just grabbed the one with least stress. Those who were able to get 9.8's were pretty lucky and will be able to command a good price from picky collectors.
  12. Wasn't there a Diamond truck that bit it on the highway and destroyed a lot of books in March? actually that may have been in Feb.
  13. original sketch sold There was a sketch cover sold on Ebay.
  14. I got this signed in Chicago recently. This was the only copy I could find at the time and on short notice. Since then I've got a few more copies I need to get signed that might grade higher.
  15. Yeah I noticed he's signing a mess ton lately, but do you think this will affect SS series books?
  16. Although this is not DK3, I feel like this could've gone for more: DKR #1 9.8 SS only 1/2 a day on market.
  17. Looks like DC is doing some other polybag promo for most if not all of the #50 titles in March and they are bumping up the price to $5.00. Not sure if that's a permanent increase or just for March.
  18. I know Batman and Green Arrow for sure this week, I think Harley's Little Black Book and Green Lantern was last week. The Batmans I picked up were damaged, not as bad as Comickings pictured showed, but damaged nonetheless. Got 3 and got all 3 covers, woot! For some reason the Green Arrows were in a lot better condition, similar to the Harley Black Book, with spine stress just above the top staple. Again picked up 3 and got all 3 covers. For some reason the Batman suffered the most damage in the production run. They are just frustratingly bad. Probably 8.5-9.4 range.
  19. Any pictures of what you are seeing? I know you may not be allowed prior to release. Also any way to "see" the damage with the bag in place? You could run your finger along the spine while its still in the bag, but do that and you might miss out on a sketch book. Hopefully Dc will wise up after this and figure out a better way to execute promos like these. I sure hope they get an earful from all the dealers getting damaged books.
  20. ugh....was looking forward to picking a few of these up tomorrow. Could you please describe the damage? the Spine tiks are ridiculous...mostly not color breaking, but hold it in the light and you see 4-6 if not more...then a lot of those have the upper staple crease issue the Harleys had. We opened 250 copies today over half damaged...the ones we kept...8.5's to 9.4's....9.6 are tough...9.8 good luck....we're opening 300-400 more tomorrow. ...basic covers to both of these books were great condition...these bagged variants, horrible. damn...has to be the polybagging process, like they're rolled over or under a cylinder while being fed into bagging machine before getting sealed. I guess the only thing that would make up for this is finding an original Jim Lee Sketch book!! or any sketch for that matter. Good Luck!
  21. ugh....was looking forward to picking a few of these up tomorrow. Could you please describe the damage?
  22. oh wow, didn't realize OA was a possibility either! I guess I'm going to snag more copies.
  23. I picked up 2 and got a sketch variant and the color. Both had slight spine damage between top left staple and corner. Also, the book had a slight indent that ran vertically in the middle of the cover top to bottom : (
