Doubtful. It would be sweet tho! This is fan expo number 5 in a row for me I think. haven't seen marvel or dc yet. There were some awesome smaller publications there last year tho. It's always nice even if he's not there to have the J scott campbell store, but having Action labs and Aspen and zenescope was pretty sweet. Tonnes of exclusives!

It's funny because i had this exact same book. Mine was number PP/100 for printers proof. I had it signed by Mike Debalfo the cover artist. It came back yellow lablel9.6 Now I knew for a fact this book was FLAWLESS, inside and out. So I contacted CGC. I was told it recieved the 9.6 due to the hand written number. My arguement was how can a Hand written number by the manufacturer cause a book to lose a grade and an Autograph not then? They are both ink on the cover. After a discussion with the previous head of the Sig Series they agreed with me, sent it back and came back 9.8 (should still be 10 imho) but hey.

Photo covers almost always. If there is one to use I always use it. Some commish peices are nice, love the harley ones in this thread but given the choice photo cover.

Your books will come back with a green label. Qualified. The yellow label signature series books you see have had the autographs witness by a CGC rep or employee to guarantee the authenticity of the signature. Only witnessed signatures will recieve yellow label signature series status. Generally unless you just want your book encapsulated and graded its not worth sending in. This is an explanation right from the CGC website on what makes a book green label. A Qualified label is used by CGC for certified books that have a significant defect that needs specific description, or to note an unauthenticated signature (one which was not witnessed by CGC). For example, a comic book with a missing coupon that otherwise grades 6.0 will receive a Qualified grade, avoiding a considerably lower grade. CGC would give this book a Qualified grade of 6.0 and a Label Text notation “COUPON MISSING FROM PAGE 10, DOES NOT AFFECT STORY.” Or, if the book is signed on the cover it may be noted as “NAME WRITTEN ON COVER IN MARKER.” Hope that helps.

Whats up with Nei Ruffino?? She's been posting some really sad stuff on facebook lately. offering commissions, selling her personal collection, almost even begging for money. She's one of my favorite artists and i'm pretty bummed about it She's been off the con circut since baltimore last year. I put in messages to Dawn McTeigue, ebas and jp roth but no response. Any of you guys know whats up? It's sad to see. So much talent there. I have 5 commissions from her and they are all amazing..

There are 2 things that really bug me about all this lately. 1 being prices, I'm just not sure how facilitators can justify some of these insanely high prices, especially if you have a private signing set up. I'll use J Scott Campbell as an example. Iv'e seen some pre sale and pm threads charging upwards of 225 for a campbell signed book. Where are you pulling that number from? A good friend of mine recently attended ECCC and was able to get me a sweet Elektra JSC exclusive signed and graded. Book cost 40 (With the signature!) grading was $30 and shipping to my door was $30. I'm 100$ all in for a book that some guys are charging double for. I understand you're in this to make money, but do you really have to bend me over in the process?? 2) When pre selling celebrity signed books, Charging up front and not being honest or upfront about when the signing actually is. Why do you need my money today when the signing is 4 or 5 months away? Im more than happy to pay up front but be honest about when the signing is and let me know why you need my money 5 months ahead of time! I also know for a fact most facilitators, contrary to popular belief, DO NOT have to wait in hour long line ups for these celebs. iv'e seen first hand them flashing an ill gotten dealer or VIP badge and cutting these lines (You know who you are! It's all about backroom handshakes and politics at these shows). So charging 500$ for a sig that actually costs $60 because you have to wait in line is crazy and dishonest. Please stop the price gouging! I'm at the point where i'm done with facilitators, I attend enough shows that i'll just get my own damn signatures.
