  2. Thank you and everyone else who responded. I have to read this PGM forum more often!
  3. Thank you both! I was afraid that was going to be the answer, but it's still good to have it confirmed. I have a new scanner (Canon 9000F Mark II) and it doesn't seem to show up defects as well as the old one. It is a nice looking book, but not as nice as what shows up on the screen. I guess I have to fiddle with the settings to figure out how to get a more accurate scan.
  4. I have a run of silver age Iron Man and 10-20 of them all have a very thin but very well defined book-length vertical crease in the middle of the back cover and inside back cover. It is so well-defined that I could (if I wanted to) fold the back cover in half using the line. I am mainly looking for what grade does this defect knock the book down to? But also feel free to give a grade for the entire book as a whole. Thank you!
  5. ASM 57 https://www.ebay.com/itm/292585558133 ASM 120 https://www.ebay.com/itm/292585552460 Less than 5 days to go!
  6. Cool find! Interesting that Tec 682 (newsstand cover) was in a 2-pack w/ Batman 516, Tec 683 was in a 2-pack w/ Batman 515 (newsstand cover), Tec 684 was in a 2-pack w/ Batman 514 and this 2-pack breaks the pattern with two Tec issues and 9 months apart yet! Would be interested to know where that price sticker was from. It seems like the early 2-packs came from TRU but the later 1995/1996 2-packs seem to have come from K-Mart and 7-Eleven? Just a theory based on some 2-packs that I own.
  7. I realize that there is already a thread on scanning slabs and legal size scanners. However, I am looking for advice on the fastest method to scan or photograph hundreds, maybe thousands, of raw comics. Anyone rigged up a iPhone, iPad or scanner to do this? Has anyone ever tried to rig up a feeder (LOL.. a horizontal feeder, not a roller-type) to make things go faster? Any words or videos of advice would be much appreciated.
  8. Just checked the Flash 100 "newsie" DCU. No 2nd print in the indica. Also, the typical NBA Jam ad is on the back. BTW, I was checking eBay sold listings for Flash 100 earlier this year and saw that another Flash #100 newsie DCU had sold. It wasn't even listed as a DCU or variant. Someone got a great deal on a BIN. So there are at least 2 copies out there.
  9. Probably more rare than common, but not the rarest. For example, Superman 95, 109, 113, 117, etc. would be rarer IMHO. Now if someone could find me a Wonder Woman 106 DCU... that would be a miracle! Big $$ payout for that
  10. $1325 or Best Offer trumps PMs No HOS, Probation members or other hooligans Payment via PayPal, money order or check. Returns at your expense. Sorry no international shipping Shipping and insurance is included Any questions, please contact me. I've sold a couple of books here before and have a spotless eBay track record
  11. I've opened up the Wedding Pack. AOS #541, Action #728 and MOS #63 are all direct UPCs, not DCUs. BTW, the standard edition Wedding Album DCU was also included in a set sold by QVC. http://www.qvc.com/Superman:-The-Wedding-Album-Collectors-Set.product.C36448.html Yes, I've spent waaaayyyyy too much time researching the origins of DCUs.
  12. Trying to get rid of my duplicates, including VHTF Showcase '94 # (Mignola cover), Legionnaires #25, Robin #4, etc. I'd be willing to break up the lots or make new lots for CGC members - I just don't want to pack and ship 1 or 2 individual comics. https://www.ebay.com/sch/shornste/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  13. I bought a copy in better condition and then sold my old copy. Hard to believe it was only a $17 spread between the two! BTW, Kirk, that 7 comic Batman Collection is very cool. Never seen that before! And congrats on the dup #706!
  14. No worries. Ok, I have a question. Does the Batman Adventures #18 DCU really exist? I recently bought a bunch of March 1994 DCUs and this was the BA 18 that was included. I could have sworn that I saw a BA 18 DCU in this thread in the past but now can't seem to find it so I'm starting to question my memory.
  15. Right, I have that 20-pack. I meant to write, " This is the only"... 2-pack..." example that I know of."
  16. This is the only example that I know of. There are some 2-packs with 1 DCU, but they have non-Zero Hour books.
