this seller added an X-Men #4 9.0 [with all the trimmings!] to the mix. not a HUGE thing...but, how many of those will the average ebayer not see? not many in that grade. [thanks 'grade X service'!] how big will this 'lesser book' go to further the criminal fund???

Let's not get this thread off point shall we? it's an XM #1 graded 9.4 that will, if I might say, legitimize the process. who knows what that book was pre-Franken? watch the auction...realize that a lower grade book was trimmed and what ever else. and is now graded a NINE POINT FOUR! even with restoration. and someone will buy with high hopes. not knowing what we know... it's an insult to what we love about this pursuit.

Right. Strange angle... completely obfuscated the writing. As compared to: Yes, it is a strange angle that hides the writing. This view also brings out the moisture damage or whatever it is in the middle of the book. that book sold today for $1800.

I miss that book already..... still have this one to keep me company, but it has more resto than the slabbed copy. from the arcane ari gold collection.

thanks guys! I usually waffle between the 5 & 12 as to which one is the sharpest. I guess in my opinion, they're all in the 9.2/9.4 range.

here's my #1 pre slabbing - I've had a few #1's but this one is the first I've had with uber whites and a little higher grade.
