  1. Not sure if it's still available but here's a 1.5 that looked pretty good
  2. So can this be anything other than colour touch/restoration along the inside of the spine? Looks like Marker or pen and I don't have the book in hand only these pics. Thanks in advance for your opinion and advice
  3. Not the greatest but the attached pic when enlarged shows the crease in the top left corner. thanks again all
  4. So I'm looking at picking up a silver age Marvel in a 9.4 preferably with W pages and have come across a couple so far. One of them is in an old holder and was graded in 2000. While it's a little higher than I'd want to spend, the grader notes indicates: Spine Small Stress Lines Top Spine Wear Breaks Color I assume the Top colour break will not be helped by a clean and press but spine stress Lines might...Right? Does this sound like a potential for pressing? Can it still get a 9.6 with a top colour break? I don't have a pic that shows the break yet but am trying to get one. Thanks for your help in advance and cheers
  5. about $15k worth of silver and bronze graded marvel keys worth anywhere from $500 to $3,000 each. i think anything under $500 I'd be comfortable putting up on Ebay but I've heard too many horror stories about the way they treat sellers to risk putting up anything more valuable
  6. Hey all, I've been picking up some books the last little while and am thinking of sending them out for Auction. Would appreciate any/all opinions on where to send them(HA, Comicconnect, Comiclink etc). Personally not a fan of Ebay.
  7. Hi all, I do not have much experience buying restored books and need some help. I've had this book posted in the PGM forums and have just received a pic showing what looks to be repair of a tear on the inside front cover. I haven't purchased the book yet but am still considering it. Any idea if this can be removed and how much I can expect it to cost? Thanks in advance and all comments are appreciated. here's a pic of the front cover - note the tear is on the right edge of the book near his left foot
  8. I haven't purchased it yet but am a little concerned about the split spine - trying to get a better pic of the spine and will post it as soon as I do.
  9. **Have added pics 5 and 6** As always any and all opinions are greatly appreciated. I don't have the book yet so these are all the pics I have so far. Aside from obvious wear and tear, there's tape on the bottom staple in the centrefold. Also looks like there's some spine splitting in the 3rd pic. Thanks in advance. So here's a pic o fthe spine...ain't pretty And here's a repair to a front cover tear view from the inside. The tear is on the right front cover edge of the book near his left leg. Anyone know what type of repair this is and if it can be removed?

  12. Looking for an idea where this one will grade - note the tear on the middle left edge of the back cover. All comments and opinions are greatly appreciated [
  13. I'm looking at picking up an old silver age book that has a tear just under an inch on the rear cover. The book itself is overall in the "fine" range and am wondering if the tear will drop the grade. I know a tear in a higher grade would but what is considered acceptable in that grade range?
  14. Just picked up my 3rd slabbed book from Tom. Packaging is and always is legendary and he's just awesomeness to deal with with.
  15. Purchased my first slab through Tom and can't imagine a better packaged book. Super easy to deal with and very helpful - can't wait to pick my next slab from him.
