  1. Fosworld is a faker right? It boggles the mind how someone selling counterfeit art can have multiple positive feedbacks on said art. Frightening.
  2. Ah, so it was you that picked this up. I had 5 people notify me of this auction. Fortunately I already have one that Sal did for me. It's a great piece - congrats! Thank you! Sal is a favorite Hulk artist of mine. I couldn't pass it up.
  3. I don't own a Sal Buscema published piece, but I do have this:
  4. Reported, but I have no faith in Ebay these days.
  5. I absolutely love this beauty I bought off a fellow boardie.
  6. Good show kav. I feel bad for the folks he has already ripped off.
  7. I reported also, but it doesn't seem like Ebay cares. As some of you know (since you helped me with it), this guy got me with a fake Romita Spiderman sketch. I would not like seeing him continue to rip off others. The piece looked legit to me until I received it. Too many inaccuracies led me to search his Ebay username and my heart sank as I found his reputation in question. Luckily, I got a good portion of my money back when Ebay sided with me.
  8. I reported it, but I don't have a lot of faith that Ebay will take action.
  9. Being a novice OA collector, I rely on and greatly appreciate the kind guidance I receive here. I have been saved a lot of heartache down the road by the fine folks here and I hope they remain vigilant. Kav, please post some of your work or pont me to it. I would seriously love to see it. I am envious of those with the talent of drawing comic art.
  10. Especially ducoso's COA. It is a paper drawn up by him and signed by him. It means absolutely nothing and offers zero provenance. Did you see the Steranko he has up right now? I would have never been duped by him if I saw that piece of work. I do like his Wieringo. Too bad its likely just as fake.
  11. Thanks Malvin. That makes me feel a little less dumb about page numbers. I never even considered the issues with vellum preservation. Another thing I need to read up on...
  12. Two question, both of which may sound silly... First, when you look at a comic book these days, they often seem to no longer include page numbers like they did years ago. I am after a page from a book like this (no page numbers) and when I count pages to determine the page number, I am assuming that I count the first inside title/splash as page one and in sequence from there for ALL other pages. Is this correct or is the title/splash not page one AND are the advert pages counted? Second, I may have located a page I am after, but have been told it is on vellum. I have done some internet research on vellum, but information on it seems varied and not specific. Any insight? You folks are incredible. Thanks in advance.
  13. Thanks for the excellent advice. I learned that I was mistaken about the issue. I guess its easy to screw up when you are working from a trade instead of the actual book. Its actually a page penciled by Dan Panosian. Still working on it, but I'm not in a hurry.
  14. Advice please. There is a page from a modern Marvel comic that I would love to track down. This seems like finding a needle in a haystack, to me. I have never mounted a hunt for a page before. Any guidance? I did some searching on a few sites for the page with no luck. I did find a few NFS pages from the same book on CAF, but thats it. The page is from Skaar: Son of Hulk #10 and was penciled by Ron Lim. I am not sure of the correct page number because I only have the hardcover trade. I ordered the issue, just so I would know the page, but don't know it for sure yet. Thanks for reading.
  15. Thank you. Losing money sucks, but having it go to con men is salt in the wound. I thank this community and its members for helping me.
  16. Ducoso said the EXACT same thing to me. He does include a COA of his own making, but what good is that. He is banking on his good feedback, which is starting to show signs of fatigue. To my own struggle: I sat on hold last night for over 2 hours and had to hang up. I began again this morning and after only 15 minutes, I got a human. At first she was insistent that I lost and it was not an error. However, I began walking her through the paper trail and she did an immediate about face. I should have my refund within 48 hours. As I write this post, the funds just appeared in my account. One thing I learned is that Ebay policy dictates; with the exception of buyers remorse, any return should always be at the expense of the seller. This is where she thinks all my problems began. I was improperly instructed from the beginning, to ship at my own expense.
  17. Thanks. Didn't think to Google it as I was on the Ebay site. Been on hold now for 58 minutes and counting.
  18. I cannot for the life of me find a number to call Ebay CS. I have tried many times but they make it impossible to find a number. There is some real screwy stuff going on with my claim. After being instructed to return the item, Ebay CS sent me a note saying they were going to send me a mailing label to return it. I told them I already sent it back and gave them the tracking number. I JUST got an email from Ebay saying they closed the case because I filed more than 30 days after the delivery date, which is not true. Such BS...
  19. Just a little update on my situation with Ebay seller Ducoso and the fake Romita sketch. After I asked him why he was no longer a registered member (he is reinstated now), he chose not to answer me and instead reported me to Ebay. He claimed I was scamming him. Ebay reviewed the case and asked me to supply my proof, which I did. After a few days, they asked me to return the item, with tracking, at my own expense. I had to send it USPS Priority Express, in order for it to be tracked, because he is in the Netherlands and I am in the USA. It cost $56.65, but I paid the money to salvage some of my funds. After a couple of weeks, Ebay sent me another note asking me for proof and offering me a return label. Ugh! I complied but pointed out that they asked me to return the item weeks earlier and I did so at my own expense. The seller is still claiming that I am a scammer and is already back up on Ebay selling forgeries. I still do not have a resolution, but have kept a good paper trail and will report the conclusion. Lesson learned here. I appreciate all the advice I have received and the education.
  20. Who, in particular, are you having trouble contacting? Maybe one of us can help you out. Well, for instance, here is a situation that describes my luck on this subject. Michael Golden is scheduled to appear at Wizard New Orleans, which I will attend. Wizards website lists an email specifically for arranging commissions for Mr. Golden, in advance. I used it and got no response. After a couple weeks, I sent him a message via Facebook, and nothing. Its rather frustrating and I DO NOT want to hound anyone as I feel it very rude, but what should I think here? I did the EXACT same thing with Cary Nord and got the exact same lack of response. There are other artists that I would love to get commissions from like Romita (see my counterfeit purchase in the "fakers" thread), Sal Buscema, Steranko, Severin, Pagulayan, and a few others (I realize these are big names). I am not sure if I am doing something wrong and frankly, I don't want to do anything considered rude or inappropriate. In the past, I have avoided attempts to make contact with the artists and settled for trying to buy on the secondary market, but I have been burned there.
