  1. Amazing institutional knowledge you have sfcityduck. I really appreciate as I am sure other boardies do your post and taking your time to write this up. The history of comic books and the people involved is so interesting and I really enjoyed reading about it. Thank you so much.
  2. I must have gotten confused as I thought the Mile High was a 9.0 … sorry for the amateur question…so the Edgar Church copy is the Mile High copy and the current Owner is the “Dentist”? Apologies read this somewhere but think I am mixing things up!
  3. I wonder if after a record sale, someone other than the seller of this one will dump a 9.2-9.4 on the market that someone has been holding onto for the right time.... Not sure if the market could potentially handle that value in that grade yet. I guess also it would have to coincide with their life circumstances too IE needed/wanted to sell. The right time to sell is presumably never as the value should keep going up on Action #1. Do you guys think that there is a 9.4 for example out there and "they" are waiting for the market to "mature" enough? Or would they wait until someone sells one of the 9.0's?
  4. Could it have been some weird Best Offer option? Its says $930.75 online. Sorry I cant figure out Hip Comic either. Famous Funnies #210 (1954) CGC 2.5 Frank Frazetta cover! HipComic https://www.hipcomic.com › listing › famous-funnies-2... Famous Funnies #210 (1954) CGC 2.5 Frank Frazetta cover! in Comic Books > Golden Age (1938-55) US$930.75

  7. Hi Guys, Sorry for the boring question, but I thought I would ask the experts Do you know of any FF 214 prints, or if these exist outside of this set....I can't seem to find this set plus wondering if they might crazy prices now if I do find....I know Frazetta Girls do a print but its in black and white. Thanks for any pointers
  8. Am late to the party. I think Kirby is iconic... as in the style is so unique and is art on its own. He created his own genre and his art cannot be mistaken for anyone else. Having said that Adams art would look good on any character and would look 'natural' as in the storyline/ character was intended for him to draw. Not so sure Batman or Superman for example would have looked ideal done by Kirby. However I am biased as Kirby's style is not my thing. I prefer Adams by a country mile. For me Adams is obviously realistic and you feel you are immersed and in the story and feel you are there. I guess it is a personal preference and tastes differ. Also I am sure I am not qualified enough to be able to judge at this level! Like someone else said its also apples and oranges.... Long story short if I had original art on my wall it would be Adams and a character I loved.
  9. Thank you so much for sharing jimbo_7071
  10. Yes apologies I meant dry cleaned...which has made it whiter! However would this bump it up a half grade if all else stayed the same...
  11. Just wondering what your 2 Cents or Pence from where I am...is on this one... In theory would a Golden Age comic be cleaned and pressed and go from 8.0-8.5? I don't see much difference if that's what its had. I guess it does look whiter! .
  12. Thanks DougC for explaining I really appreciate it. I guess I have to keep manually searching and lose out to the speed of the folks on the CGC boards!
  13. Hi All, I hope everyone ins happy and healthy. Was not sure where to post this, but is it possible to set up an alert for when a certain issue is posted for sale? 14. I don't know the history of Mystery in Space #38 but it certainly seems to be a cover swipe of FF 214
