  1. @The Lions Den The stain on the left edge of the back cover is pretty significant, appearing to go into all the interior pages. While looking the book over, I also noticed several smaller stains and a few spots of mildew.
  2. Do you get double points for a double stamp? Oooo. What about a double stamp on a double cover with Two Face? That would be awesome. Why did you quote one of two books in my post from a different thread when I already posted said book by itself on the previous page?
  3. Sorry, I am just seeing your question now but will check and get back to you.
  4. BigBadToyStore has Mondo's Creature from the Black Lagoon 1/6 Scale Figure for $174.99 plus four dollar flat rate shipping! I just put in my pre-order with them.
  5. Wow! What an amazing splash page. I need this book now. The American Air Forces #3
  6. Ger might have conflated two stories but his description in my mind match the Guard Duty story you linked to. However, I have in my mind another story where the soldier gets caved in and then might decide to shoot himself when he hears the enemy dig in his direction. You best bet of course would be to contact Ger directly. Since it seems tough to contact him via the blog, send him a message on eBay - His ID there is simply gerapeldoorn @Scrooge Do you know the name of this tale, any creator credits, its issue's cover date, or what title it was from? Sadly, no. I looked through some scans I have to see if I could find it ... but no luck. I can still see the panel I remember with the soldier in the cave-in looking at his girl's photo while musing on what to do but no luck turning up from what book it came from. I thought of more questions and they may help us find what you described. Are you sure the story is pre-code? By “the enemy,” you mean communist soldiers, right? Can you recall its beginning or ending? Do you suppose someone besides Atlas published it? @Scrooge Did you see the above post?

  8. Battle Cry #5 is also reminiscent of Two-Fisted Tales #28.
  9. I would prefer a raw 3.5, but the one auctioned off by Infinity Comics, which ended an hour and thirty-nine minutes after winning my slab, went for $107.50!
