  1. Someone talked about HTF Deadpool books.

From memory I think Baby's First Deadpool and Encyclopedia are the toughest by print run. I think I remember a Daredevil Annual is tough too.

A lot of Deadpool books are going hard to find for the next couple of years. While the print run is lower overall demand is causing some issues to look as if they are really scarce. Its not that they are scarce its just they don't last long currently.

Deadpool & Death Annual - never saw one in person anywhere

That's the one I was referring to. Came after the Deadpool/Daredevil, but I rarely see it.

FBS hit it on the head, they will never last in a store if they even show up there.

I was surprised to see one at Planet comic con, I think the price was $70.

  2. Yep.

And Star Trek lasted only 2 seasons and had a comic that lasted... hey, that comic lasted 61 issues, through 1979...

Walking Dead has already bested both of those by X3....(X4 for the comic)

It has iconic characters (Rick, Michonne), set in a sci-fi world of the near-future.

    Pretty good comparison.

Actually lasted three seasons, but it's still a good point.

I still think it is way too early to compare Walking Dead to Star Trek.

Have you seen the cover of walking dead #1?

Does this look like the cover of something that will die off?

    My copy for reference

I'm a pretty big TWD fan and collector, and definitely support this books prestige, but the cover has never really appealed to me. Oddly enough, #2 seems to catch my eye more. I think #4 and #9 are the best from the first 10.

  3. Made my first eBay sale yesterday. I shipped today and listed the tracking. I'm told the payment won't be made til the 17th. (From PayPal, not the buyer.) does it really take this long? I sold this for emergency $ and didn't realize it took so long. Wtf...

Yeah. If you don't sell often, they basically hold your money to make sure you're not a scammer or whatever in case there's a problem with the sale. I had the same thing happen to me on my first half-dozen or so sales.

I guess I understand that but...

  5. I disagree. WD 1 in 9.8 will be selling for $1500 in 3-4 years time. We can come back to this thread then and see just where they'll stand.

    lol

People were saying the same thing 3 years ago...

    Clearly they were wrong. :applause:

3 years ago WD was in season what, 2 ? Things were going well for the show. It was in full swing and interesting. Past tense.

Also 3 years ago people were saying WD 1 9.8 would likely be selling for 5K by now. Ummm.... no.

    I

Issue #2 will now cost you around $1,100 to obtain. The current 90 average price is $1,179. Plus for those of you who read the wanted to buy forum you will see ample collectors trying to get some of the tougher issues to find and they are offering over 200% of GPA for some issues.

I've been watching 2 copies of #2 for a month for under 600. Still not sold. A CGC 9.8 would hit that mark. I think raws can be had for under 5 easily. (shrug)

Of course I hope it stays that cheap... I still need mine.
