Scored my first golden age Batman at C2E2 yesterday. Can't believe I came out with such an early issue at a good price. Tape on the spine but otherwise nice and intact. Even has a Joker story.

I fell for it once on a Facebook group. I had just joined and didn't know that you're supposed to use goods and services through PayPal. Seller said I had to pay using friends and family because he had bank problems. I was too hypnotized by the deal to recognize the scam. And I had zero PayPal experience to understand the difference and the consequences. The Group admin contacted me seconds after I sent payment. Tried to cancel but couldn't. I got scammed. It sucked and still burns me to this day that I could be so stupid. So yeah, there are people out there who might not be experienced online buyers who get taken. that people do that to one another. A bad side to the Internet.

That's about market value for that book. I wouldn't bite on one now as he is flooding the market with covers swipes. I imagine that's pretty radically overpriced, if you took the time to GPA it. Plus, it's missing a book (#50), and everyone knows on eBay that if you're missing a single book, the whole lot is worth 50-75% less. A guy was selling the 1-150 on a fb group for 12,500. First 5 were CGC 9.8, and includes all variants. I thought that was a crazy price...until seeing this one. Yowza! Are these books really going to go up THAT much that 30 grand is a good investment?

Won this last night. Been waiting on an auction, wasn't ready to do $50 BIN. Got it for half that woo hoo. My favorite Preacher cover,and maybe top 10 covers in general. Great art, awesome character.

Hey everyone, been lurking for awhile and I'm finally starting to contribute. I've actually went through every single page of this thread...so amazing! Love seeing how others set up their stuff. Anyways here's my room, not too epic but gotta start somewhere! My Wall- O-50 You might have noticed I'm a True Blood fan. Got to meet Kristen Bauer A.K.A "Pam" and she signed one of my books. Also enjoyed J Scott Campbell's art within the comics, these are the red foil variants on display. Then a few Neal Adams signed prints, ToD 1 (keeping with the vampire theme) and Game of Thrones 1 variant (Neat cover, keeping with the TV show nerd theme). Also my Deadpool zentai, a dorky piece of personal art, and a Harry Potter statue. Nerd Alert! Then I gave Batman a wall of his own. Love the canvas...Hobby Lobby has great comic theme decorative items. Some cool covers. Soon I'll have those precious Batman keys!

Picked up 22 Deadpool books from the 97 run and these were included. An $80 eBay deal, feel like I made out pretty good.

Managed to get mine for 12 on eBay about six months ago. I too have noticed its climb dollar by dollar. Really cool cover for display, pretty good read too. Now to get the 620 variant...
