My Bat 1 was missing back cover. 3 years ago I found a guy selling front and back cover on eBay. Both covers were glued to a notebook binder. Matt was able to remove both and dry clean them. I graded the front cover and it got blue label. I kept the back and it's with my Bat1 sitting in a mylar. No plans to attach it.

Before and after of back cover.

Didn’t know this could be done! Do you mind sharing how the back of the cover looks like after removing from the binder?

You still have a 9.8 or 9.6 available to sell? If so, I'd love to work out a deal! Have been trying to find this book forever.

A few months old but if you we’re still interested in a 9.6 white pager let me know. May consider letting mine go now

I saw that too !  Seems high this soon out of the gate ?  (maybe not anymore)

$31k for cap 1 definitely seems pretty high out the gate but I think the 2.5 copy sitting on clink with the high bid at $77k could likely restrict how high this 1.5 will go

I was horrified to see the description of the 8.0 Detective 33 in Heritage's current auction. It first states Overstreet's current ranking of the book and how it has moved up the list recently, then that it wn cover, then that Batman is wearing a gun holster on the cover, and finally, almost as an afterthought, in the blandest possible terms, the description mentions that the origin of Batman is inside.

I would have thought they would at minimum copy CGC’s key comments which now include the book as being the (while minor) first appearances of Thomas and Martha Wayne along with joe chill. Those are on the cgc label but not in the heritage descriptions so they probably just “recycle” their narratives over the years
