  1. An amazing grab! Congrats!
  2. Great list! Did your buddy find an Albedo 2 in that lot? That would be the most desirable one, for me.
  3. I just checked. I didn't really notice a big drop. Leveled-off, maybe? It's a fantastic book, but probably too cerebral for most to follow on a monthly basis. I'd imagine the TPBs will be successful.
  4. Absolutely! Although, I wish Rathburn and Rauch were a part of it. With Ottley, visually, that was the pinnacle of this amazing title.
  5. Thanks, J! It's amazing what gets blessed as a title's grail, sometimes. A freakin' third printing!?
  6. Considering that the masses are mostly simpletons, popularity never meant much to me. Marvel and DC have been churning out garbage for decades. It's like arguing between what kills more people, alcohol or cigarettes. TWD only cracks the list because of zombie-ites. argumentum ad populum
  7. Sorry if it was mentioned before, but is the RRP variant considered a reprint, since it has a later publishing date?
  8. I would have snagged this, too! Love Anissa!
  9. A summer poke for the sleeping giant that is, Invincible!
  10. Is the bug cover considered a reprint? I'm guessing it would, since it's printed at a later date.
  11. Hi Folks, If trading a Hulk 181 9.0, what would be the value equivalent, for a graded JIM 83? Thanks in advance!
  12. Haha...I'm so disconnected! It didn't even occur to me that '84 is now Copper. Then my original choice would still stand. I don't know if you can find a 9.8 Invincible #1 for $1k, anymore, but that's what I'd strive for.
  13. It really raised the bar for me, when it went 'cosmic'. I had only two subscriptions left, at the time (Invincible and TWD). Invincible became so epic, I ended up cancelling TWD. One can only take so much of the backwater scene.
  14. I call argumentum ad populum on this one. It's like comparing Maroon 5 to Radiohead. The former being similar to the commercial junk that Marvel/DC put out. The latter simply competes with it's own standard of excellence.
  15. His backstory is interesting, though. He's kept so much bottle-up. I think Rob wanted to explore that ticking time-bomb, some more.
  16. I've been on the fence about getting one. Would be nice to have, but I'm too fixated on obtaining the regular cover and other keys.
  17. Not to mention that it's a difficult book to keep in mint condition. $2k for a 9.8 is just around the corner. I haven't seen Green Hornet, but Rogan and Goldberg have collaborated on some pretty good films. Sausage Party, This is the End, 50/50, Superbad, Knocked Up. With the source material they have, I think they have a pretty good shot at making a hit. I never read the Preacher series, but I'm really enjoying the show. Very good casting.
  18. Invincible DD: Yellow Y The Last Man Thor (Simonson's Run) Usagi Yojimbo Kingdom Come
  19. Makes sense. I was eluding more towards the mainstream stuff, regarding 'most standards'. From the point of view of serious collectors, how much weight does a low print run variant have on value, if there's no major event or first appearance in that issue?
