  1. So, the invincible Lowest Print Run article from CBSI click here got me thinking about what the Top 5 most valuable books for the series, might be. What are your thoughts of this list below? Invincible #1 first print: First full appearance of Invincible and Omni-Man; low print run Invincible Returns #1 B/W Variant: First appearance of Thragg; 1:50 variant; 398 copies Noble Causes: Family Secrets #3A and 3B: First appearance of Invincible (cameo); low print run Invincible #2: First appearance of Atom Eve and Teen Team; low print run Invincible #5: First appearance of Allen the Alien; low print run Also, does anyone know what the ratio was for the Noble Causes variant? 3B seems to command a higher price because Mark's on the cover, too.
  2. I'm curious about variant print runs, as well, after CBSI ran that Invincible article: https://comicbookinvest.com/2017/04/10/invincible-lowest-print-run-top-5/ What is the real value, if there is no significant occurrence, in that issue? Like a 1st appearance.
  3. I'm curious if the census numbers for a 9.8 #1 would ever see a significant bump. Considering the low paper and ink quality, plus the dark mono-tone background color (especially along the spine), this is a hard book to keep mint when not tucked away in storage.
  4. I'm still holding out hope for a spin-off. Also, Kirkman mentioned a possible show, again, in Penvincipals.
  5. Congrats! It's been awhile since I was able to snag one cheaper.
  6. Invincible ruined me for all cape comics! I'm hoping that Kirkman authorizes some kind of spin-off with Skybound/Image. Technically, he said the title is ending. Am I reaching?
  7. I'm still not over it. I'd settle for a quarterly release...just keep it going.
  8. Here's some info about storing books in a safe. Thanks! I read these, too. I went with a standard safe. Nothing fireproof or airtight.
  9. Thanks for chiming in, guys! I'm not a volume collector or a display guy. I mainly stick to low print run keys. I keep them horizontally stacked in a safe, with the label facing outwards. I like how the bumpers keep a little space in between. So, I should avoid Slab Pro?
  10. Sorry if this has been discussed, before. I tried the Advanced Search, but came up empty. If anyone could share recommendations and sample photos of the fit, that would be great! Thanks in advance!
  11. I think it was mentioned, previously, that the 1A print run was around 6k. Would like to find out what the print run was for the Blank, too.
  12. I really like the book. The art is stunning. I appreciate Remender's adherence to the lost art of character development. A storm is brewing, and I want to be in the middle of it.
  13. Invincible 133 variant in homage to Youngblood #1.
  14. Finally done with work and just picked up 131! Ceramic throne, here I come!
  15. Yeah...if you're a fan...it's a keeper! Lots of first appearances in that one, too. As far as value goes...the only way it would increase...is if Kirkman turns into a show or movie. That's a big 'if', unfortunately.
  16. I like that crossover. That cover OA with Invincible by Howard is still available. It haunted me for the longest time. Wolf-Man #11? Where did you see that one? I'm just getting started with published OA. Have you acquired any new Invincible pieces, lately? Mark has it at Splash. I haven't bought anything in awhile. Have moved away from comic book art and comics in general. I haven't read a new issue of Invincible in almost a year! I'll be headed that direction, too, once Invincible ends.

  18. The delay is killing me! I was almost tempted to buy another title, but decided to reread The Astonishing Wolf-Man.
  19. I do...but only the rarest ones.
  20. Recently did a trade with NoFunComics, and everything went smoothly! Would definitely deal with him, again!
  21. I did find solace in Kirkman’s video interview. It’s fitting that this great title finds an ending, rather than be regurgitated over and over, again, like the rest of the industry (including TWD). Invincible was my last and only subscription for the last decade. Time to say farewell to this medium. I hope to see it on the big screen some day.
