  1. Just cast my votes. Schomburg vs. Cole was tough. Went with Schomburg, reasoning that when it's time to sell the collection, I'd let go of the Coles before the Schomburgs.
  2. Sadly (for me), I had no knowledge about the auction until after the fact. Those are some very pretty Fiction Houses you got there!
  3. In a perfect world, I would crack out all my books and have no regrets. But perfect I ain't.
  4. This issue has some of my favorite pages in all of the Fantomah stories. Fletcher Hanks was a lunatic genius. For the full story, go to Comic Book Plus at https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=39629 Here's a sampling:
  5. Love it!! Fletcher Hanks was the best. Unbridled justice, he and his characters.
  6. That is my understanding as well. But if you look at dannyboy's two copies, the yellows and greens are fairly similar. This suggests to me that either the "M" in "CMYK" the color separation process (Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Black) was selectively susceptible to fading, or more likely, Fiction House couldn't afford a lot of the Magenta ink (which might have been more expensive... though I'm totally speculating here), so as October said, later copies off the printing presses would lose their redness.
  7. Fantastic Zolnerowich cover! Don't mess with that Monster of the Dismal Swamp!!!
  8. Nice! An Edgar-Berk one-two punch!! Great colors.
  9. My cigar of the month. Thanks to a long-time boardie for this smoke.
  10. Yep, I've heard that story from you before, and always enjoy hearing it again! Knowing the history and provenance of this book adds to the charm of my Planet 6.
  11. I'm late to the quarantine, but wearing a mask! A few of my favorite Planets...
  12. Another mystical unicorn from Flex Mentallo’s dreamscape. (It’s that kind of Sunday, I guess!)
