  1. Great colors on your copy! One of my faves from Year 1 of Planet Comics. Pure classic early GA sci-fi by Eisner, with the fanged monster chicken hawk, kaleidoscopic volcanos, burning swamps, the frenzied denizens, the mayhem... every time I look at this cover I find something new.
  2. Beautiful! (even though it ain't Lou or Joe, but in fact, George [Tuska] ). So say the pundits anyhow.
  3. Excellent question! Not sure why CGC has it unattributed. On comics.org, there seems to be good support for Nick Cardy being the cover artist. I’m tempted to inform CGC about this… … and then wait 6 months or so for them to reholder it with Cardy’s name on the label.
  4. Thanks Sag-Meister!! It took me a super-long time to track down an unrestored Jungle 15, in any kind of grade. This copy is right in my sweet spot!
  5. From out of the deep dark depths of the Jungle, a couple nice new gems:
  6. Will close this thread tonight! First come first served!!
  7. Actually most books in the Fiction House portfolio (~1939-1954) had very uneven colors. Strong color strikes for about the first 12-15 months, then massive variation up until around 1948, when the rich colors returned in full force. No one has a perfectly satisfying explanation, other than the (probable) explanation that the publisher was too cheap to top up their inks on a regular basis.
  8. This copy has exquisite colors and is well-centered, unlike many other copies out there. Price: $7,500 Happy to entertain offers. Thanks for looking!

  10. I agree with Rick here. Especially when it comes to these classic and beautiful Rivet covers, including Planet 19 (disclaimer: one of my top fave Planets). These are still selling at semi-reasonable prices, compared to some of the other genres in this exploding market. Buy now or regret later!
