You will sell likely do better/be left with less of books that you have multiples (like complete mini-series like these 4 issues) when you sell issues #1-4 as a set.

 

Sets always sell.Incomplete sets, not so much.

Bah! I bit the bullet and bought the reg Dell'otto cover from ebay for $40 shipped. Blows, but I've bought from this dude before and he always sends me the best books. So, Fingers crossed for a solid 9.8 SS!!!!

 

Why eBay? Frankie's still has the regular cover up on their site for $23.99.

 

I sent a msg asking if they could send their best copies. I was told they could try, but no guarantees. Since I want this for grading, I went to a seller I've bought from before. I don't know what his deal with Frankies is but he's gotten me good stuff before so I don't mind paying the extra. Besides, if this is like any other dell'otto book, it's gonna be a lot more than $40 once it's out.

I think anything to do with the actual journal should be OK. It's the side conversations that have absolutely nothing to do with the journal that should be deleted IMHO.

I deleted a couple of mine. Sometimes it's easy to get sidetracked and I kind of forget that despite what I may think, this is Gabe's journal.

Looks like my decision to sell my 9.8 back when the movie news hit was a solid one, as I got close to a grand for it.

 

Meanwhile, my decision to sell my BA 12 9.8 when Suicide Squad was announced is looking worse and worse...

 

You could have taken the money from the BA 12 sale and reinvested it into other books several times over since the sale and made far more money than the difference in realized prices between your sale price and the current market price.

 

Getting anywhere close to a g-ball for a NM 87 in 9.8 is ridiculous, there is no question that is as good as it could get.If you look hard enough at cons, you can get another raw HG copy and press it to a 9.8.

 

I agree with what you said about the BA 12, but if he sold the BA 12 for a $1000, that would be regrettable.
