  1. Awesome marvel keys, selling everything. https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_ssn=any%244forsberg&_sop=1
  2. I think graders notes should be made available to the public on all books. Using the "certification verification" https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/ page you have already built out, I think the grader's notes should be listed along with the book. In the day of instant information and big databases, it seems disingenuous at best to pretend there is a huge manual expense to making this information available on a piece-meal basis. Would it require time, work, and effort to make available? Of course it would. I think the payoff is increased trust of your services and improved clarity on just why it is that people pay for your knowledge and services to begin with.
  3. Thread now being closed. Thanks to everyone that made a purchase. Remaining books being moved to other venues but still in my position so feel free to make any last minute offers via PM. Thanks all.
  4. That's an interesting question, and I think the best way to answer it is comparing swing prices on the "most often sold" books to less often sold ones, which is one feature I really like on gocollect, a complete ranking of the amount of sales. The "What's Selling" right on the home page. You would have to do some kind of statistical analysis comparing maybe the top 50 hot books to some random books that land in the top 100 to top 500.
  5. Thanks for sharing this. I always hate waiting in line to get my outgoing books scanned, but I always do it. Since coronavirus is getting so out of hand, last time I went in I asked the clerk if they scan the packages if I just drop them in the outgoing mail area. She said they do scan them in the back. But now we see exactly what happens if those workers in the back decide NOT TO scan them and keep the packages themselves. I'll have to continue waiting in long lines even with my prepaid mail, just to make sure I can get the proof of that clerk scanning receipt of the item on the tracking.
  6. Sometimes I think these sale results just come down to people being weirdos. If you've seen my Doctor Strange collection you know I'm trying to build the whole Volume 1 run in 9.4 White pages, so I had my eyes closely on these two books. Last week on Heritage a 9.4W sold for $180, and yesterday on comiclink a 9.4 W/OW Sold for $125. Do white pages designate a $55 or 40%+ premium? I'm gonna say no. I was also the losing bidder on the heritage book, but did not bid on the comiclink book. All it takes is one person (Me in this case) to swing the bid wildly - all on a book nobody really cares about, as I'm just a run collector and this is not a speculation pick.
  7. Another great deal with Alex, thanks for the trade. Swapped silver age books.
  8. I have two books in my collection that kinda sorta qualify for why does it need a slab? I bought them slabbed already, so I could see why the person slabbing them thought they had a shot at 9.8's. I didn't mind paying the price premium since I always found these mid-90's deadpool books difficult to find in 9.6-9.8 raw, most modern books on ebay get a flat NM rating by just about everyone because they are from the 90s so they all look mint. Nobody takes the time to grade them. So there's my reasoning.
  9. Another raw worthy of being in the slabbed thread, ASM #101 graded 7.5 by Dale Roberts and purchased directly from his store. Nice clean staples and great centering. Trending slab price $575-600. Price only $500.
  10. I've moved the ASM 6, FF48 8.5 and FF52 9.0 to other venues but the other books remain for sale. Get your offers in now as I'm considering closing the thread and moving the rest of the books. Thanks all
  11. Going to throw this bargain in here Doctor Strange #178. OW/W 9.0 old label $60 $55 would also trade for 9.4W page/centered issues from this title + cash.
  12. To be fair cards have been doing color parallels since the mid 1990s. Pacific hockey took it to the extreme with the holo-emerald, red, gold, silver, ice blue etc. It was fun back then because they all came exclusively from certain boxes like hobby, retail, canadian retail, canadian hobby etc. Jersey cards and autographs barely existed yet, but the parallels fell out of popularity once the memoribilia stuff started showing up in every set by every card manufacturer.
  13. All this chart shows me is how wildly overblown the panic is. Domino's isn't adding 20% in value to their total market cap, the same way that GOOGL and AMZN have not lost 20% of their total market cap. If anything, AMZN's overnight delivery volume should greatly increase sales & GOOGL online ad revenue should be benefiting.
  14. Fantastic Four #48 Raw deslabbed 7.0 OW/W $1900 Grade Date: 05/12/2011 I bought this from a fellow boardie that liked to de-slab his books maybe 3-4 years ago if I had to guess. I have zero reason to believe there's any other reason than that for deslabbing it. The two creases on the rear cover make the front of this book look like a gorgeous presenting 8.5-9.0 range book. SOLD
  15. This was my first thought too, nearly every book seems to be down 5-10% from december sales, you can still see the results from completed auctions. Michigan was one of the states that joined the mandated collection states in 2020 and there were many others. SO far I've only bought 3 books this year. not happening to me, I just listed a massive slab thread in the silver/bronze for sale forum too.
  16. I'm noticing again the hotlinked images in this thread have muted colors, so be sure to click on the link and open the higher quality version of the image with accurate coloring and much higher zoom. This will wrap up the slabbed books for this thread. I may delve into some raw books too but these slabs should be much easier to price and move out than raws. Thanks again for looking.
  17. Found one more I left out yesterday. Strange Tales #156 9.0 OW $100 1st Zom (interdimensional demon) SOLD
