  1. I have over 700 (pre 1983) comics at CGC either in scheduled for grading or received/verified. Most were sent early June (Modern Slow) and at Nickel City Con. I have heard from the CGC verifiers that the numbers over the past 2 months have been "off the charts" (especially after SDCC). Hopefully my first batch will show as graded this week.
  2. I'm glad to see they gave your Hulk Annual #5 a 9.8 even with the rolled border. I have one that has the exact same appearance, but I was hesitant to send it in because of the spine. I guess with the thickness of the spine, there is no other scenario. Thanks for the image and the positive reinforcement!
  3. I guess I was lucky. It was not very crowded so the urgency for me to move along was not there. He didn't re-bag one of the comics and when I took it to replace the comic in the bag he asked if he wanted me to do it... I said I was good. Once again, they were both really great with all of my "stuff".
  4. I brought my Flash 217-219 to Buffalo's Nickel City Con yesterday for Adams to sign. Neal and his wife were both pleasant and engaging. I wound up also buying his new Civil Wars II and HQ 25s as long as I had the CGC witness there. All of the books were handled well and different color pens were used to make the signatures look great.
  5. 54 I collected all through the 70's and stopped in 1983 (Grad. school). I just started finding my passion again this year. Better late than never.
  6. Go to www.imgur.com Download your image. You will have to share it with the community to have easier access. Click the icon next to the BB image, this will copy and then post the link.
  7. He is... at 86, which is awesome!. Does anyone have facilitator access to him??? My Red Sonja collection would thank you.
  8. Does anyone know if Frank Thorne is still around?
  9. Right now, I love having both GoCollect and GPA. I seem to spend more time on both sites than a grown man probably should.
  10. Sorry, I don't know how to make the image a bit smaller. Also, a 9.2 and a 7.5 copy came back.
  11. I sent in a good number of books (non-fast track modern) that arrived on 6/7 and just moved to scheduled for grading today. The listed times sound just about as reported by CGC.
  12. I subscribe to both, but GPA has more sales listed. GoCollect has the images of the issues (which is nice). GPA has past sales, current listings, SS issue listings (including signers), but may only include CGC comics. If I had to pick one it would be GPA without a question.
  13. Any information on future Bill Sienkiewicz signing opportunities? I saw him listed on one convention site and now I can't find it. Thanks in advance.
  14. Where did you get Doug Moench to sign? I have been looking for the opportunity to have him sign my books for some time now.
  15. 13 days from the day CGC received the comic until it was shipped back. Just as advertised. Now please would they get to my Modern books!!!
  16. Thanks for the advice. I will look into it.
  17. Finally back from CGC. Now what to do with it.
  18. What is the possibility of finding a back cover for an Action #22 or More Fun #53? Thank you AnkurJ !!
  19. I will send it in for the grade. I bought it in 1978 with a Detective #46 that someone decided to shoot 10-12 times with a BB gun (otherwise it is a nice book). I spent $35 for the both, so odds are I'm ahead.
  20. Here is the front cover: Detective #37 Definitely the worst condition comic I own, but any thoughts on my best options?
  21. Thanks for the responses. The front cover and inside pages don't look all that bad .I would love to hear opinions on those conditions. I tried to scan an image, but I can't seem to add an attachment.
