  1. @FAKadar Frank Kadar and Collette Turner
  2. One of my favorite artists (Mike Mayhew) says he will be at SDCC, NYCC and LAC. Also, another of my favorites (Geof Isherwood) is listed for Fan Expo Canada 2019.
  3. While I would prefer that CGC list the signers name on the label instead of just "name written on cover in marker" (most are recognizable and seen almost daily by them), I still like the CGC Green over the CBCS Red. My reasons include: a reasonable estimate of existing copies (via census), price (via GPA) and above all, I prefer the look and feel of the CGC slab.
  4. His ASM 800 cover (or cover recreation) is available on his site for 25K.
  5. That is an awesome sketch cover! Congratulations Jim!!
  6. I have been looking forward to this one for a while. Star Wars #1 Fan Expo Edition signed by Joonas Suotano "Chewbacca" with mini sketch, Ian McDiarmid "Emperor Palpatine", Billy Dee Williams "Lando", Ray Park "Darth Maul", Anthony Daniels "C3PO", Warwick Davis "Wicket", Julian Glover "General Veers", and in one of his last appearances... Peter Mayhew. A huge thank you to @Par2ch for his help with this endeavor.
  7. I am not the sort of person who flips books for sale.... and I do love covers with fun stories. I just wanted to see other reactions to a signature gone....different.
  8. I am not sure how I should feel about this book from last week's Niagara Falls CC. I am a big Jim Starlin fan and it was so great to meet and interact with him throughout the weekend. I brought this Epic Illustrated #3 for him to sign and the signature went a bit awry. He did a small sketch in the area and resigned the cover, but the first attempt is still somewhat visible. Still, this might have been Jim's only sketch (unplanned) of the weekend. I do love this cover though.
  9. A pretty great mail call today..... six sketch covers and a remark.
  10. I love it when I see that Ken Lashley will be at a con. He is so great to interact with ....When I set up a commission, it is our nature to want to pass by and see if your sketch is being done. Ken often pretends not to see you and then positions his hands to not let you see the sketch in progress. So it becomes a bit of a game..... which is fun. As for the "Variable pricing", it was a bit strange at first, but I think it allows people to get something cool that they can afford and still allows Ken to budget his time. Here is a back cover that Ken did for me at last years Nickel City Con. I paid a bit more for it because I was only there on Friday and had to get to Motor City Con on Saturday so Ken spent most of the Friday on it. @Yoshi
