I think this might be all my bronze X-men stuff but I’m always adding or finding something stashed that I didn’t know I had. I’ve been replacing a ton of stuff for the past couple of years too

I get either as long as I’m comfortable with the price. Selling slabs is easier since the grade is noted and a buyer knows what they’re getting but a properly graded raw can get you just as much if the book is desirable enough. Buying is also more favorable in raws, especially if you’re confident in your grading skills as you can find your acceptable range cheaper

Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???

Finding a buyer willing to spend that kind of scratch is gonna be very limited but possible depending on the other 23 on the census and those may not be pedigree copies making this one the outlier. I don’t see it happening anytime soon but I wouldn’t be surprised with how crazy things have gotten. The number 3 I referred to was from the Mephisto/Wandavision rumors where the price spiked but leveled off recently. It may actually heat up again with the next Spiderman movie taking some elements from the “One more day” storyline fueling rumors again -

I totally agree and this was my point. Books like Silver Surfer 3 that was a book selling in the hundreds jumped ridiculously with the wandavision rumors and a few notable keys like ff67 and Thor 165 have skyrocketed. Add to that the jump in the White Vision appearance with it’s overnight turnaround and sellers are holding back just in case they have a gold mine in the waiting. Aside from lesser known/obscure books, I do see plenty of key appearances just at higher prices than most want to pay -
Won this one in a cl auction a little over a week ago that needed a reholder with the mj notation. Was this one of yours?

There are some exceptions but for the most part, I think a few sellers are holding back on a few titles until a Disney+ or mcu announcement is made. The potential for dollar bin books exploding overnight has been the incentive -

Bronze age comics that are heating up on eBay...

After fees, not much more than the one I sold. I think timing had a lot to do with it. I may have gotten less had this one gone up for auction first since it comes up so infrequently. Interested buyers will take what they can get if they don’t expect to see another one anytime soon -

Looks like someone took a magic eraser to it…a little rough on the dry cleaning

One thing I always say is part of the fun in this hobby is “the hunt”. There are still amazing finds out there if you get a chance to look and are there when the timing is right. About a month ago, there were 2 sketches of Spawn done by Dave Sim that sold for around $20 a piece. I had dropped an early bid just to get the notification when they were ending but regretfully, I missed them both. I was still happy to see that they’d been won for a song and this is just one example of a ton of steals that have come and gone in recent months. I know it’s not the same as landing that awesome Buscema splash page but sometimes we just take what we can get.

Asking Bronze Experts: Why no love for Superman 233?
B2D327 replied to Kripsys99's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
In all honesty, even Neal Adams has said how much he hates the cover to 233 -

One of my favorite storylines begins in Peter Parker the Spectacular Spiderman #26 that leads into Frank Miller’s run on Daredevil but the following few issues also introduce the Carrion and were a great read. A lot of the bronze issues are really underrated for the writing imo

All 1st prints and a best offer pickup on eBay. The Elfquest was a board purchase from a lot (that also included some cool copies of Epic Illustrated 1st and final issues) and one that I always keep my eyes peeled for along with the Crow books. Action comics was a replacement for one I sold a couple of years back. Seller made sure to note the pin up was still intact and posted good pics so I couldn’t pass it up since I almost never find one in a condition to my liking. Was stoked to get my hands on everything I posted.
