    Possible .5 -1 grade bump on both with a clean and press. Most of the flaws on the gsx aren’t pressable. The creases aren’t noted as color breaking but depending on their size don’t look to be too significant in the notes. On the issue of Bone, the area seems to indicate an impacted corner which may or may not be improvable

    I used to wonder the same thing. Seemed like the Surfer wasn’t as popular a character as Marvel once thought outside of FF continuity, having cancelled his own series so it was cool to see him appear every now and then. I’d have loved seeing him in Starlin’s Warlock run of the 70s but with his ties to Galactus it would probably end up spotlighting one character over the other for fans

    Chalk that up to John Favreau’s involvement. He’s been responsible for a ton of the MCU success and knows how to appeal to fandom without being preachy or pushing an ideology in the films...at least not blatantly. It seems like a majority of the writers and directors of the other franchises would rather push an agenda

    Depending on the type of glue used. Either you’ll see/feel a dry bead of it or you’ll be able to see a difference in luster or staining if it was one of those glue sticks that are applied like lip balm

    Congrats! Part of the beauty of this hobby is the feeling one gets from adding a “grail” to the collection. I can honestly say that after close to 50 years of collecting, that feeling’s never changed for me if not even better

    Has anyone else been invited to join eBay council? I filled out a questionnaire that specifically went into my comic purchases after I’d sent a complaint about the changes to sub categories and my saved searches becoming totally useless. I took a look yesterday but only saw a topic on trading cards. Maybe if enough comic buyers/sellers sign up, it could actually make a difference instead of having people with no understanding of the hobby making decisions about how it should work.

    I was surprised at that too a few months ago when there was a Daredevil 158 on eBay with the same 9.6 graded green label for a detached cover at top staple. Never thought they could grade that high with that flaw but to my understanding, the label is green though graded as if the flaw wasn’t there but would grade significantly lower universal at the submitter’s request

    Go for it. It’s easier to come across copies of the books you’re trading away than the FF 5 plus you could probably downgrade later down the line and replace those books with the profits

    “We should all applaud eBay for being an equal opportunity employer (EOE) and hiring people with obvious learning disabilities to make decisions on how to run a company.” That was part of my email to them a couple of days ago when I figured the search issue was no longer a glitch but the new normal on a site in decline. At this point, I’m convinced they’ve slowly been infiltrated by individuals trying to sabotage what was once good to destroy it from within...kind of like HYDRA infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D

    Unfortunately, not everyone is adept at grading (even here on the boards) and it’s something a buyer should educate themself on before making a purchase based on someone’s opinion. There are also “dun dun dun....” dishonest sellers that take advantage of this. Hard to believe, right?
