  1. ^ this the postal service is not responsible for how the sender packed the item. Their job is to get it from A to B. There’s no proof it wasn’t already damaged beforehand even though you and I know better
  2. Only if you tried to remove it and left traces of solvents or other means behind Ink and indentations left behind in the cover will be noted as flaws
  3. Those pages don’t look that bad. Loose staples are probably the bigger problem there but you should be ok as long as you’re not doing this on every page you turn:
  4. Lightly blunt corners and spine ticks are also evident from the front
  5. Agreed and like the other copy posted, plenty of potential for improvement
  6. 4.0 as it stands with potential; A lot of improvable flaws
  7. Yes, but the glare makes it hard to tell if there’s any color break which will be noted even if slight
  8. Presents well but I think the multiple color breaks knock it down to 5.5 and personally, I’d love a copy that looked that good and I can be picky as hell especially when it comes to SA squarebound books
  9. That’s a 1400 +/- dollar difference in actual grade. Sell it, make a profit buy a 9.0 ($200) and use the other 1200 on more books
  10. 3.5- 4.0 how are the staples, spine and centerfold/pages holding up? They look pretty good from here but books like that are easier to judge in hand
  11. Photoshop’d? talk about a “gift grade”
  12. Even Action Comics 1 was worth less than 50 bucks at one time. Granted, there aren’t a bazillion copies of it floating around and Superman is a household name but who knows what that skottie young 1:100 variant will be worth in 80 some odd years
  13. 9.0 finger bends could be pressed out and maybe bump up the grade. Shadow on back cover makes it a little hard to judge that one corner too
  14. 2.0 just from what’s obvious. Could go lower depending how well the cover is attached.
  15. Was looking at the Spidey you posted too...same thing
  16. 5.5 spine wear and that corner will get that book hammered. Black cover makes everything stand out
  17. Shadows on the book make it hard to judge.
