  1. I’m at 8.5 too with the spine stress being the most evident flaw but man, that’s another nice looking SA book
  2. Even with the lrcb that book looks great 7.5
  3. Yes, more pics are needed but that back cover won’t see much improvement being all black. Flaws stand out waaay too much on books like that
  4. ETA Nick recently got hammered for that reason on what he perceived to be a 9.2 before submitting. Maybe you guys got the same grader. I see 8.0 imho
  5. The indents and finger bends can be pressed out and definitely bump up the grade higher that 7.0 I can see 8.0 but might be tough after seeing the cb from the back cover
  6. I’m hovering around 7.5 - 8.0 myself. Aside from the staple rust which may also migrate to inside pages, you’ll take a hit on the blunted corners and some other flaws most evident on the back cover. A clean and press would bump the grade up a tad before submitting imo but if you’re looking to resell it might not be worth it
  7. 7.5 - 8.0 sounds right. Color breaks are the biggest issue there with the few spine ticks; still a nice looking book
  8. Personally, as long as the sig is verified and placed in an unobtrusive “sweet spot”, I’m cool with it as I would just add it to the collection for the cool factor of having an artist/writer’s sig but I wouldn’t turn my nose up at a Hulk 1 with Kirby or Lee scrawled across the big, grey face on the cover. I don’t think it devalues the book so much as lowers the desirability when it’s written across a character’s face since there are probably enough copies of any given signed book nowadays to satisfy demand. There’s always the exception of a rare book with a hard to get sig and at the end of the day it’s your money to decide whether to take it or leave it
  9. Depending on how you do it, it could still get a universal blue label with a grading note for sticker residue if I understand labeling criteria. If you were to use something detectable to clean it like alcohol, peroxide, goof-off, etc. I believe it would then receive a restoration purple label. Personally, I’d leave it. Gives the book a nice backstory.
