  1. mine came in from camper49 yesterday Thanks, Brian
  2. not a 9.6 but I did get it at a reasonable price and have been the proud owner ever since plus it got me into the club (yay)
  3. This. In a world of mods and emulators, it seems crazy that people are paying so much for these. I'd pick one up at retail because I think they're cute and would look cool on the shelf, but as for playing, I'll stick with my modded X-Box. One of my friends has Everdrive versions of all of the classic consoles, and those are amazing, as you can load thousands of games onto a memory stick and then play the games through the original hardware. It's a good time to be a gamer! I want it for the upscaling. Everdrives are nice, but it doesn't solve the problem of NES and SNES games looking awful on modern TVs. I could buy a CRTV, but I don't want an enormous 150 pound brick in my house. I tried a Retron 5, but it was a piece of garbage. Totally broken right out of the box. I should just break down and get a framemeister I guess. Good point. My buddy and I have been scavenging for great CRT's, mostly Sony Trinitron Wega's. You can get them for literally nothing these days, and the games look amazing on them. I've got a 32" JVC sitting in a closet in perfect condition that I tried to give away for free and nobody wanted it; all they had to do was come pick it up
  4. Love the Frank Thorne BA issues and although I love Alex Ross' work, his version makes her look like a c**t
  5. look for a raw high grade WWBN 32 and 33, have them cleaned, pressed if necessary and slab em'. If you've got any scratch leftover, invest in high grade copies of Strange Tales 169 (1st Brother Voodoo) as it seems these are books that are getting hard to find in high grades that are still fairly affordable if you seek them out. 5 years from now, they'll be harder to get imo
  6. looked great; Holland makes a great Peter Parker/Spidey as seen in CA CW and the trailer shows he can capture the character well. Looking forward to this. As a side note, I'm usually not too keen on the mechanized versions of villains but I'm open to Keaton's Vulture...fingers crossed
  7. It's in the printing below the splash on page 1...where it says the book title, number, volume, etc
  8. that's cause Barry Windsor Smith art blows JR Jr's Wolverine out of the frame
  9. That cover really pops with those colors...I need a copy Zeck did alot of awesome covers too. The Punisher mini series, GI Joe, Capt. America...so much copper age goodness
  10. Yes; had similar rippling on the outer edge of a front cover and pressed it out to where it is unnoticeable
  11. I remember that GI Joe cover as a kid. It is just as haunting today as it was when I was a kid. I'm sorry?
  12. after a long search, I finally found a decent Battle of the Planets 1 ...the other 2 were the proverbial "icing on the cake"
  13. these came in over the weekend; Zeck autograph on one of my favorite covers ...and after a long search for a high grade Battle of the Planets 1
  14. co-signed and Ali Shaheed Muhammad's (Tribe Called Quest, Lucy Pearl) music is perfection for that series, especially the title song
